You have top TVs and game on a monitor what
You are missing amazing HDR
If budget is no issue and PQ only matters here are the picks
Sony X85J, X90J both hdmi 2.1 on 2 ports
Samsung frame 2020 or 2021 (1 hdmi 2.1 on 55 inch model above)
Panasonic's new JX850I only play Apex Legends at this point. Fast paced FPS game.
The picture quality and stuff isn't too relevant now, and I'm still on a PS4 Pro. So sticking to the monitor.
A good 4K 55 inch TV should be the move. With all the apps inbuilt, including Apple TV hopefully.
Just for occasional TV watching.
-
Secondary TV is screwed. Plan is - Move the main TV (55 inch 4K, Samsung, 2014 model) as replacement.
Unfortunately the living room won't allow for 65 inch, so thinking of getting a new 55 inch 4K TV? Don't wanna go OLED as its too much money and I only watch football/occasional Netflix.
I play games on my monitor in my bedroom.

Saw the sale. Offerings and brands are limited. Doesn’t seem big.

No sbi card discounts
HDFC instead I think.
Apply for Regalia, its pretty good card to have imo.
Don't think deals are much good, just plan to get a 4K Firestick

In the first book which is a collection of short stories, translation is not that good but on the rest which are full novels, it's solid.
Ahh yes thats what I thought. I know you are talking about The Last Wish, but there is another collection of short stories as well, The Sword of Destiny. Since that came later, the translation from Polish is probably solid.
Haven't read Witcher yet, but its on my radar for sure

Insane how cheap the entire collection of Witcher is!
Also I had heard the translation is pretty solid! maybe I heard wrong, or maybe its from the first novel Blood of Elves....
Happy reading!

Where did you the books from? By the way.... I'm still finishing Book 10..... The slog got to me and just couldn't pick up the book as much as I wanted to... at 90%, will read New Spring after this and then go to the Knife of Dreams
Haha lol I've passed you then
I'm a third of the way through Book 12!
Bought 'em all from Amazon.
I didn't feel the slog as much, but Book 10 was definitely a bit of a snoozefest. Enjoy New Spring, definitely a breath of fresh air!
and Knife of Dreams is some of the best I've read

I said this before - but please read A New Spring before you go any further. Even the kindle edition is fine. It really will lose it's impact if you delay it till the end of the series.
Anyway of the 3 Sanderson books, I would say Book 12 is the weakest. Book(s) 13 and 14 are going to blow you away. The entire Black Tower/Loghain's Arc, Mat's Arc and Final Arc is just :Chef's kiss:
Anyway hope you enjoy the series and the kindle!!
Bro I've already read New Spring, it was a fun break from the series in a way
I'm really enjoying 12 at the moment. Easily my favourite so far, but nothing like it if Book 13 and 14 can top this.
I've never been much of an Egwene fan, but for once I'm rooting so hard for Egwene, this arc is fantastic.
14 hours ago, dylanjosh said:Interesting. I found 13 to be the weakest of the 3. I loved The Gathering Storm.
That is what I have also heard on the internet. Still, I've heard 13 is fantastic anyway! We'll see
Predictions -
SpoilerI think Rand is going to climb the Dragonmount in this book. For book 13, The Tower(s) of Midnight part has to refer to The Black Tower, and Tower of Ghenji I'm guessing. So the Moiraine rescue arc is in Book 13 I'm guessing!
-
Finished Book 11, and started Book 12.
Currently reading Egwene's arc in The Gathering Storm.
Hands down already looking like the best book in the series, and my personal BEST READ for 2021!
Also: Loving the Kindle Oasis, much thanks for the encouragement @roun90

Had stopped expanse after season 1 cos of the pacing
Restarted Season 2 last week…..damn it picked up so quickly…..now I’m midway of season 3….such an awesome show….worth watching for anyone who needs their sci-fi fix
I'll be honest, I like the show more than the books
Thats very rare tbh, but Expanse is solid. I haven't finished it yet, will get back to it next month.

Have you used kindles prior to this, would like to know if it's worth a upgrade if the old one is doing just fine
Yes, I've been using my old kindle for about 10 years now. Anyway it didn't have any backlight or touch, it was super old.
I find myself reading a lot more ever since the quarantine started, you can see I'm reading through Wheel of Time right now.
So definitely worth the upgrade in my opinon. I'd pick this over the Paperwhite for the page turn buttons, and the warm light option (which is better than most phones honestly)
I think you'd be well served with an upgrade to the Kindle Oasis. Your old one might be fine but once you use the Oasis you'll feel the difference.

Nice! Expecting a small review. Is it worth shelling out the extra to get an Oasis? I have to change my kindle which is almost 11 years old now.
Used it for about 2 days now. I also upgraded from a 10-year old Kindle (which had no backlight/touch at all). The Oasis is a pleasure to use and read on.
As far as the massive price difference goes, it depends on you. If you read casually, a book every couple months here and there, you'll be fine with the Paperwhite.
But if you find yourself reading everyday, even for 15-20 minutes, 100% worth getting the Oasis. Plus I read mostly at night before bed, and the warm lighting makes a lot of difference.
Picked up a new case of Amazon, much better (and cheaper) than the official Amazon ones-

Today I received this sms from axis.

Thanks a lot! Just checked, I've also got the text today!

I also used to order from Amazon, but the price difference was too much to swallow. 2k vs 1.2k, and since BW was listed as an Amazon seller, didn't really think much.
I hope this is something one off because BW does offer custom print books as well (as in on demand printing of limited run books - depends on publisher). And the import book cost differential is quite high compared to Amazon.
switch to kindle and forget all your worries
meanwhile I still buy books even after buying on kindle first

The days of US PS being better are long gone. With regional pricing, it's just better to get Indian PSN now. Cheaper PS+, and discounts are generally applied to both PSN shops.
This. PS+ pricing is best example, regional pricing for the win!

So is 2999 the cheapest its going to be to get a year of PSN until next June? Just got my ps5 and since I'm coming after skipping the previous generation, there are a lot of exclusives from the PS+ collection I want to play.
I think there was someone selling a code, you can put up a WTB thread. Some people may have bought extra during the sale.
Usually the sale price repeats again for Black Friday.

Bookswagon is a book seller on Amazon as well. Had ordered some light novels from them in the past. Was able to get it (Though since Light Novels are almost always imported, they take some time to arrive).
Yes, but because it is through amazon, grievance resolution is lightning fast.
1 hour ago, Bird Bird Bird said:Try calling them. They'll ask you which online store have you bought from - Amazon or BW, and will transfer you to the respective CC. Basically they've different CC for Amazon vs their own site. They pretty much can't f**k up at Amazon, whereas we are at their mercy when it comes to their own site.
The price difference between Amazon and their own site are generally about 15-20% on imported books.
If you buy imported books frequently, BookDepository is a good option. The prices won't be any cheaper, but they have literally everything in whatever edition and cover and hardback/paperback.
Plus free international shipping, they're essentially a subsidiary of Amazon US for books. Always worth a look.
- Amazon Sellers I get books from: Cloudtail, Bookswagon, Peacock, Sunrise, Atlantic, U-Read, to name a few. Never had any trouble, but I order solely through amazon's website itself.

New to book reading and wanting to get started somewhere any good recommendations? Fictional, nonfictional both will work.
Also was wondering if starting out with books related to world war and history will be a good starting point or too much to absorb for a beginner? Any recommendation for same will be appreciated.
Fiction you can try Daisy Jones and the Six. Its one of my favourites.
Non-fiction I'd highly recommend Bad Blood. Birdy highly recommends this one too!

Haven't started that one yet.
Perfect, will binge both seasons once its out!
I'm glad Netflix is bringing recent anime to streaming, like Re:Zero and Jujutsu Kaisen.
Frankly, our anime catalog is pretty solid. Very happy indeed.
