    Guys, Real isn't offering Man U 150 million, theyre only offerening 90 million. The remaining 60 million would constitute Rooney's weekly wages at Real over a five year period. So all Man U gets out of the deal is 90 million

    Anyway, we have more pressing positions to take care of, a striker, right winger and a attacking mid more than anything. Defense is the least of our worries.

    Also pardon my ignorance since i havent seen Chelsea play for a long time, but is Alex playing so well that you are actually thinking of letting Carvalho go??? :lol:

    bro, i agree with shekdown on this one... like he very appropriately said, we were merely debating the possiblity of it happening... there's nothing wrong in that... no one said that rooney is leaving united on 1st July or something like that yu kno.. its an undeniable possibility!! :lol:

     

    Bro, I dont see that happening. In this world, anything is possble and I am not denying that. A flying boot to Rooney's face and then maybe he's off to Real. You never know. But this scenario is too far fetched to even consider.

     

    Why? Possible repercussions:

     

    They sell Rooney for 150 then what. 700 mp - 150 mp = 550 mp. Still a debt of 550 mp and the sale of Rooney has left a hole in the United team structure. With Rooney injured we see where United now stands. A talismanic player whose mere presense spurred the team to score 3 goals againt Bayern.

     

    Anyways, lets consider they sold him.

     

    Next, they wanna fill that void. Who can they sign? Villa? What does Valencia do? They know United have got 150 mp pounds. They wont mind cashing in on that. They wont ask a penny less than 40mp for Villa who not to forget is not the youngest talent around. So back to square one. With the current inflated prices you will never get the talent you need for the right price.

     

    The major reason why Ronaldo was sold was because he always had his heart out for Madrid. There was no point in having a grumpy world player of the year with inflated ego in the dressing room. Rooney on the other hand is a fan favourite and loves the club. Forcibly selling him off will lead to a major uprising amongst the United fans who already are at their wits end with the mounting debt.

     

    That much money will not be able to solve the debt problem plus it only destabilizes the club beyond repair. So debate all you want guys but THIS just wont happen. Period! :lol:

    yup, even ray charles can see they need defenders. Funny thing is, i think our ricardo carvahlo will be pretty good fit for them. I wont mind seeing us sell carvs to them for a cool 25 million pounds :O

    Funny thing is, Real could buy Rooney, and they'd still lose to Barca.

     

    Real needs defenders. Splurge the money on Chiellini or even a Richard dunne perhaps but how many strikers will they buy. Its like a ship filled with people on its front end waiting to tip over and sink. Give the coaches sometime and work to improve your defensive area. They shouldnt havr sacked del bosque and hierro regardless of that man's age. From then on it was all downward spiral although capello did instill some discipline in the side. Two league wins and still they sacked him.

    Ignorance is bliss isnt it. :chair: Did you guys even read the rooney bid article? Espnstar has just quoted THE SUN and if you know your transfer rumours well then you would be taking every word The Sun says with a pinch of salt. Jeeeez! :P

     

    For the past many years they have credited David Villa as a United signing alongwith a plethora of other players. There are more chances of Fergie dawning the role of a Madrid coach than United selling another one of their prized asset to another club. The revenues united generate are from various quarters and not just prize money or player sales. If they sell their main man who not to mention is an overwhelming crowd favourite, then rest assured united is doomed. 150 mp aint gonna get us out of this hole. Trophies and revenues will.

     

    Already the crowd is edgy with all this glazer hoopla. Selling rooney will lead to a massacre. Come on guys talk some sense will ya!

    The scene in the beginning

    where their story is described in the silent movie was one of the most touching scenes of last year. Bot a tear to my eye :(

     

     

    Up is an amazing title. Very very touching.

     

    Great purchase nithin bro... :rant: I will be buying it soon. Have it on my ipod touch as well... :D

     

    Its an amazing movie... I just loved the whole movie, and as DS says

    the first few minutes of the movie was extremely emotional and very touching

    ... :(

     

    Must watch for every animated movie buff... :D

    But the chances of him joining Juve are slim coz Juve won't be in Champions League next season.

    Yup. But anyone of the teams that are up for signing these talents must hurry cause if they wait for the WC to get over rest assured the price of the player will sky rocket! Assuming their respective teams have a good run in and these players play their part well.

    I am sorry i have to ridicule him. I am still a big fan of his talent and do agree that he is tremendously gifted but what's the point controlling a long pass perfectly when you cant do anything fruitful with it. Hitting goalies with his shot on goals. :doh: Its more like playing PES 2010 where most of my shots on goal are hit towards the keeper. :(

    i think he is still a very good striker - wont mind him coming to United...we need a striker (who scores) desperately...not Berbatov who is more of an attacking midfielder :doh: i also think he is too slow for United...Doesnt fit between the pace of Valencia, Nani and Rooney...

     

    Precisely. He will soon be employed as an attacking mid fielder (if at all, one is required) and i am sure SAF will not offload him next season. Primarily because SAF wouldnt want to prove people that he was wrong in signing Berba in the first place. :D
