I dont think united deserve the title if they continue this way. The way they are playing doesnt look like they are taking this game seriously. Fkin joke!
-
Wat a f**kin snooze fest this united match is turning out to be...

-
Bro you should have waited for the extended cut of LOTR... Thats what i am waiting for.

Unfortunately these goons have come up with the theatrical version for the blu ray.

But yes these are win purchases...

For the guys who dint know about Javier Hernandez...
Doesnt he look like Andy Panders

-
no sh*t. chelsea in 90's were what villa is now days a solid 5-7 position team but nothing beyond that. but roman's surge (and influx of more than one big game player in chelsea like lamps-terry-dd) has made chelsea-man u the biggest game (in terms of title consequence) in PL since 03.
I was thinking the exact same comparison today. Chelsea were what Aston Villa are now. Spot on...

BTW United have made a new signing for next season!
Mexican Striker Javier Hernandez...

Since i am a big Keane fan i used to loathe Viera.
I remember when keano had retired he had some real bad things to say about Fletcher and Richardson. Ironically he bought Richie from United when he became the head coach at sunderland and now Fletch is an integral player for united. How things change over a period of time.

Good Q Nik.
I really like this 'young' Arsenal taem, but the likes of Pires, Viera, (and one defender i forget the name of) have just ruined Arsenal for me. All Cnuts

Liverpool i love
they are always good for a few laughs. Legen - wait for it - dary
But yeah, besides United, the one team i really like is Everton. Moyes seems to be a genuinely smart guy. if they ever had the money to buy big they would be awesome. Loving the way, they had a terrible first half this season and now nearly knocking on a european berth. Wouldnt mind Moyes taking over after Fergie leaves.
You talking about Martin Keown i think.
Who can forget Nistelrooy's missed penalty and Keown's antics after that.
Reminds me, Tony Adams is another Arsenal player who i admired. His autobiography is the next one i am gonna read. Read keano's ab, will read SAF's soon and Adam's sometime later...

When i had asked this question i knew Arsenal would be an overwhelming choice. Its the way they play isnt it. Fantastic to watch.
Leeds were a juggernaut in the David O leary days and even before that. Viduka, Robbie Keane, Bowyer, Alan Smith, Rio Ferdinand, Mills, Harry kewell. Fantastic line up. But many say David O Leary caused their downfall with his excessive spending.

Aston Villa/Spurs
Spurs coz God knows how quick their game runs, it's a joy to watch them play.
Villa coz i just f**king love their elegance in their play.
Spurs

I'd go for Arsenal too because I have always liked the way they played back in the good old days. Their work rate and style of play has always appealed to me.
Marc Overmaaaaaaaaaaars! Ya good ol days.

-
Hey guys just felt like asking you this.
If it wasnt the club you are currently supporting, which other EPL club would you have supported? And please dont give your typical fan boy answers like I am a ... supporter for life and sh*t.

I'd have supported Arsenal.

Last night's Bayern starting XI + bench had me shivering for United.
Ya yesterday was a day of surprises. I had forgotten about Bastian and was shocked to see Rooney and OShea fit for the match. I mean why play a young Rafael when OShea was fit and away goals were crucial.

-
Yeah your right. Who would you'll put in midfield though? To compliment your front line?
Front line
More like frontman.
If i said Stevie G you would murder me, wouldnt you
Amy one of the three i mentioned could do the job for us. But Fabregas excites me the most. Technique and age wise. He he, it was a joke... please don't pound me... But I still get irritated when I think about 2006, and Lampard and Gerrard missing penalties...Oh, time to intro myself, Liverpool fan to the core

In that case meet Mel81x...
torres to chelsea
please

You too. Meet Mel81x. Plus if he ever leaves Liverpool he would go to spain thats for sure. Unless City or Chelsea throw insane amounts of cash.

Sometimes i just wonder what it would have felt like to see Ronaldo and Rooney upfront with Nani and Valencia on the wings. Regardless of whether it would have worked or not. Just those names on the team sheet and each of them in majectic form.

-
But the United game isn't built that way is it?
Huh what do you mean? Besides we have changed our style of play according to the personnel at our disposal. The only thing that remains a constant is our counter attacking football.
omigod !! recognition of lampard by a united fan

Huh so what if i am a united fan. I am a big admirer of Lamps, Fabregas and Stevie G.
Being a united supporter doesnt mean i have to hate our opponents or their players
-
speaking of tall center forwards.
Romela Lukaku anyone ?? he is 16 yrs old (17 in a month) and is 192 cms tall already

that is a little bigger than drogba

i hope we keep him under our eye. too young to call as of now but can be a devastating player
Manucho was that kind of a player. Well built tall and good head on him. But he couldnt realize his potential. Also i feel United lacks in another dept where Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have their bases covered. A creative goal scoring mid fielder.
We sorely miss some young exuberent creative talent in the middle. -

So this is how it feels to see a team self destruct in matter of minutes. Hmm havent seen united do that in a long time. Anyways when rafael was dismissed and we started playing defensively i knew that we were gonna lose. Over the two legs if i can be unbiased i'd say Bayern deserved to go through. They looked like players who really wanted to progress to the next round. People felt Rooney's inclusion was the catalyst for the tie but in my opinion it acted as an achilles heel. Why play him when he is not completely fit. It gave a sense of confidence to the bayern players telling them United are afraid of them so much that they had to rush in their star player way before he was deemed fit. Anyways league looks like a long shot now. Lets hope we put on a fight. And Sir Alex please get in a tall world class finisher who is great in the air, to complement the talents of our wingers. Speaking of wingers i am glad they have been at the forefront of United's success this season along with Rooney. Now it seems there are more chances of us getting a striker (Villa) instead of a Silva. But i'd rather prefer a tall center forward with terrific heading prowess.
Sigh! What a week.

-
y is everyone so meh if rooney is not playing... Manu as team delivers whether its key plyrs play or not... BUT.... They shud never never keep valencia on the bench... He is juz awesome..... The guy is deadly on the wings and his crosses are spot on !!!

Daaaaaany saying good things about United... Aankhon mein aasu aa gaye...

What a match it was yesterday!!!
Walcott and his freakin pace. If only his crosses were dead accurate and England could have been real strong contenders for this WC... I was quite sure, with Rooney's sudden heading prowess Capello would consider playing becks in the team. Cause his crosses are way too brilliant. But with Beckham injured England needs a good crosser of the ball... But why am i talking about England all of a sudden???

Arsenal -
Very well played. During the first swarm of shots on goal i was thinking its game over for Arsenal but Almunia.
That blonde was epic till he decided to allow Ibra to look cool wih that chip over his head.
But then the way Arsenal rallied was amazing. Before this match i had told danny that both teams are classy in the way they distribute the balls and attack.Hats off to Fabregas. Even though he was in pain he dint allow Barca to get away with being equal in terms of men on field. He did try his best and in the background you could always see him trying to stay on his two feet limping and getting from one place to another.
People still dont understand how he got injured. I feel the leg lock he had with Puyol led to this injury. If you watch closely his right leg was totally wedged in between Puyols legs (that doesnt sound good
) which may have caused some sort of tweak to his knees. He ofcourse was too engrossed in taking the penalty maybe thats why he dint show any signs of pain. Sometimes distraction/focussing on a task in hand, can take away the thought of pain and you could see the focus on his face. But sadly i feel Arsenal maynot be able to get a win in Nou Camp. Its a freakin colosseum and can get nerve wracking. But they will fight which will be a good watch.

-
At the return leg, United will also play much better, and its at Old Trafford!

But yeah, Bayern played brilliantly, their work rate was MUCH better than United's .
But but, Rooney may be out for 6-8 weeks...
If thats the case the league and the CL can be bid adieu...
-
Bayern knocking United out and winning it all ... now thats revenge lol
You need to divide that into two sentences...
First:
Bayern knocking United out
Hasnt happened yet!

Second:
and winning it all
Wont happen...

Therefore:
now thats revenge lol is an invalid statement...

Enough favors , and why is that reason I asked you ? read that Einstein..
Dude , pulling a strikers shirt in a penalty box is also a penalty , but why is it that just only 10% are given , if every red card or penalty is given by the rules of book then there would had been so many more goals in football matches these days.
I didn't say you should show him respect when he dives , your choice of words to describe him is what I refereed.
This is football thread , keep it that way , don't bring foul language and personal remarks in between.

Shhh... Let it go bro. Let it go...
I still don't get how its the revenge for 99.United won the UCL that day, its not as if Bayern beat United to win the UCL tonight.
Hehe... And its not like we lost to them yet. Second leg FFS!

-
WTF was that...
Was he trying the MOONWALK???
Looks like a bad ankle twist which means even if he is ready for Chelsea he wont be 100% fit for the game... Way to go...
