  1. Dune was a FANTASTIC experience, for me and my wife both.

It's clearly a thinking man's sci fi and I'm just so obsessed with the world and the story right now, I'm itching to read the books...so stupid of me to avoid the literature for such a long time despite of being told that it's one of the best Sci fi books written and lots of media actually got influenced from that.

Yep. LG 34UB88 something. Been few years now. Can't go back to 16:9 anymore. ?

Same here... I bought my 34 UC79G back in 2017 I think... Good thing with this monitor is that it's 144hz 1ms IPS. Bad thing is that its only 2560x1080 at 34inch. Well back then there wasnt much options for 144hz and 3440x1440..

But right now want a resolution bump with same high refresh rate (144hz or up)...sadly..the options are pretty costly.

I doubt RT is even available yet for console version. They did say it'll will be available in later update. So at the moment it should be able to do 4K60

You are right, RT is not available on console for time being.

But as far as I can understand. I doubt with RT the PS5 will be giving 4k 30 fps later. As on PC with 2080ti, its giving around 37 at 4k...that too with PC's enhanced all ultra settings...textures, shadows and all. And that is without DLSS. (according to SkillUP)

There could be some console specific graphical settings that needs to be reduced in order to churn out 30 fps on native 4k while RT is on in PS5. Or it could be 2k 30 fps with RT on, we don't know at the moment. But as we know PS5 is roughly around 2070's equivalent interms of gpu power, I doubt it could do native 4k 30 fps with RT...let alone 60 fps.

If the game is not able to do 60 fps in native 4k now, it won't able to do in future. I think there's a video where Devs already said they have tried to push all the platforms to the limits, for pc, for console.

Why is this 4K30 on consoles? Not like current gen cannot handle it. Or is there a patch coming in future?

Because PS5 and XSX are not powerful enough to run 4k fidelity mode at 60fps in most current gen games... If you want 60 fps, it will be either 4k without RT, or 2k/1080p with RT, or reconstructed/checkerboard 4k.

    4k res is Demanding.

Honestly, IMO if you have a PS5, you wouldn't need to double dip. It already looks great and plays perfectly. For PS4 users, it would probably make sense seeing as how this game was notorious for heating up the console like crazy. I still remember how awful the noise was when playing this and Monster Hunter. It was so weird playing a God of War game on 30 frames. :P

I agree.. on ps5, GOW is already 60 fps and 4k...so there's no point.

For HZD it was different case because at that time PS5 wasnt there so no option for high fps...

It's a decent strategy to include a neutral platform for release. It's not like PC gamers who never intended to buy a console would suddenly get swayed by all these releases and run to get a console. At this point, I don't know if such a crowd even exists given the absurd PC hardware prices and they'd probably have at least one current gen console. Regardless, they (PC gamers) will at least get a taste of Sony exclusives without the need of buying the console.

Some of the PC gamers I know have waited for the console's life cycle to end, buy it at a decent price, play just the major exclusives and sell it off. So they don't really want to be a part of the console eco system, just want to try out the exclusives.

For the people who are already attached to console gaming, this move shouldn't even make a difference. It's not like they have released the entire Sony library on the PC, these exclusives hardly make up even a fraction of the entire line-up. They cherry picked these titles to show the absolute best visual and technical fidelity to the PC market. I think it's one of the reasons why they didn't bother releasing the previous Uncharted games or the original God of War saga titles as some of them would feel very dated.

I'd say Spider-Man would probably be next and of course the fan favourite Bloodborne. It's win-win for Sony. Salty fans are already loosing their minds on Twitter, which is a cesspool now anyway. So no point in holding onto emotional exclusive attachment. :P

Most PC gamers already have consoles.

The GOW will be sold to the people mostly who gonna double dip. Like how lots of people bought HZD again on PC because of more fps and better graphics...that's all.

  7. Is the game worth getting? Right now sale is going on in EPIC games PC, and with coupon the effective price is 1k ish.

Is it better than Origin or Odyssey? I hated the grind in Odyssey...Is it more grindy than that?

    Also, are the DLCs good?

  8. Just so you know, my home is full of apple products...iphones, apple watch, macbook, ipad, old ipods...Their products are good...too costly in India, but good reliable products.

But their products has NOTHING to do with Gaming in any way. Nor they intend it to do. If this topic wasn't for PC gaming I wouldn't even disagree with you. But apple and their 'claimed' performance has nothing to do with gaming nor in IRL performance that we can benefit.

  9. And all those 'claimed' performance by apple, gonna be used for what?

Game to chalta nehi...AI calculation and folding also dont work on Apple macbooks. Render? Most industry leading 3d apps dont even like IOS platform and the config. No major graphical engines are compatible with that platform.

photoshop chala lenge log thoda. Composition kar lenge videos...aur photo edit kar lenge...

Achha lagega...piche apple ka logo dikh jayega. Thoda 'hip' status bhi bad jayega sayad India mein.

you should watch these 2 videos to see just how monumental these new macbook pros are. M1 Max is competing straight up with 3080 at half power

Try a 2 yrs old gpu called 2080 or a ps5....ON PAPER, and that too by apple's claim, and we know how company's claims turns out in real life benchmark...not been tested by anyone else at this point.

Then again for M1 max, that too the 64gb unified memory one (which will be highest performed to even compete with graphical prowess of industry leading GPU makers)....and you gotta pay.....

3 Lakhs 70 Thousands rupees for that.
