  1. If the differences are big, Should i play through P5 (2017) once before getting Royal edition? Maybe i could get Royal edition later on PS5 or PC, and just experience the default version now?

Persona 5 Royal is a very different game from P5. Has new characters, a completely new arc, several QoL features, additional concerts, etc. If you wanna get into Persona get Royal.

Persona 5 Royal is the latest edition (2020)and is the comprehensive verison of Persona 5. It has additional story and characters, quality of life changes, some battle changes and all the DLC of Persona 5. I think if you haven't played Persona 5 you should pick up Royal. It's the definitive verison and if budget is not an issue then it is the obvious choice.

Whereas, Persona 5 Ultimate is the Ultimate edition of the older version of Persona 5 (2017) Includes all the DLC and extra items which you can check in the description also I think it unlocks a higher difficulty. But simply put it will not include all the additions made to Royal.

That’s the problem right? The people buying MS games on Steam are obviously not GP subscribers. And once they are GP subscribers they will stop buying those games on Steam.

Unless I am missing the logic of having the game on GP and also buying on Steam. Don’t think Steam loyalty is that strong.

People like adding fav. games to their library. Those who only wanna play a halo or fallout or ES are just gonna buy it instead of year long subs. These are long a*s games which people play for years.

It’s 81 on PC with only 20+ reviews

it’s not even 80 on actual critic page of PS4 which has maximum reviews

I don’t bother with games that are bellow 80 on meta probably that’s why

but since you insist I’ll try

Great game, loved the story, story-telling and characters as well...

TES and fallout are too big an IP for MS to keep them exclusive. Just see what happened with minecraft.

Minecraft is everywhere because nobody buys a console for minecraft, TES and Fallout is what hardcore gamers care about, no way they are releasing them on ps5 in the first year or two at least. Most sony fans can expect are Elder online or Fallout type games on ps5 which are made to generate constant cash through online play...

There is Machine Games too. Don't forget them. Also made some absolutely stunning games with the new Wolf Games. Also the Wolf series really seems to be struggling with making money.

They are good to but they kinda took a step back with wolf 2...

HFW is coming to ps4. Ratchet not a must buy for me. Don't play Sim racers so Forza Horizon >>> GT7.

    f**k I can't believe I might become an xbot.

Bet Sony are really cursing themselves for announcing those games for PS4 as well :bounce:

It’s not just about existing IP’s

all that studio might can be used in fresh IP’s too

Most of those IP’s are worn out anyway

so it could go either way

but yeah the odds against Sony seems to be evening

also they should stop that god forsaken GamesPass free distribution ASAP if they want these studios to stay afloat

No doubt that they will use it for new IPs too, but which series is worn out?

    Elder Scrolls

    Fallout

    Doom

    Dishonored

    Evil Within

    Prey

    Wolfenstein

All these games deserve a sequel and none of them are worn out.

I wonder what is an Xbox exclusive anyways? All these will launch on the PC simultaneously.

PC release won't matter to a console only players...

Acquire doesn't necessarily mean they're all suddenly not in PS anymore.

On the other hand this might explain why those ID Devs had to delete their 'worried about XSS memory' tweets :D

Come on bro, they didn't drop all that money to then release their future games on playstation.
