Heard this from so many players. How they were bad at it initially and later it became their GOAT :) Will give it another try...I think this is the best time to start on a time consuming game.

They can provide difficulty modes may be?

Difficulty modes in these games are kinda built in, you just gotta research it a bit on the net...

  2. lol, before Sony went cross-gen:

    - everyone bagging MS for it.

    - it's bad for gaming, will hold it bad.

    - not possible to make next-gen version look good.

    - Greedy, stupid MS.

    After Sony went cross-gen:

    - Pro-consumer.

    - Madness to abandon ps4 fanbase,smart Sony.

    - Games NOW won't be held back.

Man, the flip-flops on either side of the conference has been incredible! :roflroll:

Anyways, will get ps5 late next year, money problems right now.

  3. Haven't really played much this gen, played a few, but the ones i played, i played them a lot. Mostly gamed on pc, so dunno if buying a ps4 was worth it for me or not.

    Played on PS4:

    Uncharted 1 - Fun.

Uncharted 2 - Great game, a must play.

Uncharted 3 - Another great game, no idea why a certain section of the fanbase dislike it so much. It's up there with 2 imo.

Uncharted 4 - Over-rated, boring, bad story with big loopholes. They ruined the combat in this game. But then again, they brought in the makers of last of us to "fix" it, he did it by making sure the levels had only a couple of shootouts at most in them. Some parts were still cool though, but overall, hate it. Visuals and voice-acting, solid as ever.

The Last of Us - One of the memorable games of all time for me, 10/10. Will prolly fit in my all time top 10 list. This is one game that made it worth it buying a ps4 for.

Batman: Arkham Knight - Disappointing. Even after killing Joker, they made him the focus of the game, lol. Hate every time he popped up. Crap side-missions with copy-paste open world structure, found a new side-mission, now go do the exact same thine 10-20 times over. Didn't mind the batmobile as much, but did they really have to include them everywhere? And whatever happened to boss-fights?

    Gotta Complete the following:

GoW 3 Remastered - played half, then got busy. Liked what i played.

GoW PS4: Played 20%, liked it, then got busy.

    Bloodborne: Same as above.

Spiderman: Halfway done, good solid game, gotta finish it sometime.

So, buying a 40k console for just these few games worth it? I dunno...really liked the Last of Us, though.

Also, my 5 year old nephew had to spend 3 months with us due to lockdown, ps4 really chipped in to help him pass some time. He loved Ratchet & Clank, Spyro and lego marvel games. So, am glad we got to spend some quality time together :)

My experiences of the gen, including those on pc, would be:

    The Last of Us

    Yakuza 0

    Alien: Isolation

    Bayonetta

    Dark Souls 3

PS: Haven't played most games in the last 5-6 years.

You do know that she has 1) put English as her main language and 2) been working at Ubisoft for 13+ years?

Should have stuck with Hindi but I guess that's embarrassing. ?

You do know that her employers have known about the standard of her English for 13 years and they seem to have no problem with it?

No one denying that. Arkham was a kickass game. Still is. Spiderman iterated on it and made an even kickassier game. There is 10 pages of nonsense arguments. I won't blame you for not reading it all.

Let me catch you up with the lore.

Basically, Zodka says that because Arkham games came before and Spiderman is inspired by it, it is impossible for anyone to find it better than Arkham. He says Arkham games are objectively better than Spiderman which is obviously stupid on 2 fronts. What came before is irrelevant. Second, there is no objective opinion in any form of art (at least in most cases).

It's a matter of opinion, some like spiderman more, others like Arkham games more (like me and many others), but no denying both are awesome games...

Although, Arkham City is objectively better, simply because of all the crap/poor side missions (about 25 of them done so far) in Spiderman alone :P

Dude entire discussion is about what people like more. You guys are getting pissed at people liking spiderman more than Arkham. Spiderman is better than Arkham in every sense imo. You can believe whatever you want. But don't bring all this came first revolutionise that nonsense into it.

You like Arkham more. Good for you.

HL2's physics system itself was revolutionary for it's time, for one...but it's not about being 'just' revolutionary, but about being so ahead of the competitors at the time, that others in the industry just look at you in awe.

    Ya, nobody's getting pissed.

Arkham games were the first time somebody had the balls to make a AAA superhero game with kick a*s combat and story, and epically succeeding in it. Now, spiderman has used the Arkham blueprint to make a great Spiderman game, nothing wrong with that. Just as TR2013 used Uncharted as a blueprint...

What are you talking about. Doom was f**king great when it came out. Half Life wasn't the first great shooter. Plenty of great games before and plenty after.

Absolutely non sense off topic discussion.

Where did i say it was the first great shooter?

  8. This whole situation is absolutely carbon copy of what Uncharted did with tomb raider.

Uncharted comes, everybody calls it a rip off of tomb raider.

Uncharted 2 happens, blows the lid off in the action adventure genre.

Tomb Raider 2013 looks at unharted games, now copies the uncharted blueprint.

Everybody now accuses TR of copying Uncharted. :roflroll:

Spider-Man PS1 started it all in superhero genre, just like Wolfenstein 3D started it all in shooters. You are talking as if there were no great shooters before Half Life 2 or no great superhero games before Arkham. Arkham combat was aped across all genres in various games but the combat itself was copied from Spider-Man 2. In fact, the whole counter before the move hits seems most natural with Spider-Man with his spidersense ability and not with Batman at all. Arkham games are to DC superhero games is actually correct statement because that was the first good DC superhero game, or first good DC Batman game (not talking about 2D games before)

And that is the point, the fact that wolfenstein 3D started it all doesn't make it the greatest, the things that Half Life 2 and Arkham Asylum achieved with all the tools, inspirations, and already existing systems is what makes them such an achievement.

Before Arkham games, superhero games were all good to mediocre AA stuff at best.

LMAO sold out for exclusive deal while grabbing money for PC/console release.

Sold out? Are they a big AAA developer who have all the financial backing to let go of such a deal? One of the dev had to sell his house to complete the game, so give me a break with this "sold out" bs you're peddling here bro. You also claimed that this game was never gonna come out, how they were wasting their time and it was gonna flop? So, if you knew it was gonna flop, then why should't they get whatever money they could from whomever was willing to pay them?

Arkham Knight feels like a game made out of Side Missions only

This is why game sucked. Asylum and City were perfect. I even enjoyed Origins a lot but Knight not so much.

True and True! Even the side-missions took a nose-dive in AK, they went full open-world ubisoft mode, where they designed a side mission for a side-characters, than repeated that same thing 5-10 times throughout the map. And they did that with most of the side-missions in the game. It was bloody exhausting, still got the plat though :fear1:
