It just makes more sense to get the Xbox now and rent the PS5 when the exclusives release and finish them all in a month. I guess rent would be around 3-4k for the PS5 10-12 months down the line. Some rental companies even give the games for free if you rent it from them.Sony is lucky they have 3 good exclusives. Otherwise im on Team Xbox too -
Or buy the XSX and wait for GOW and HZD and other exclusives to relase and then rent a PS5 for a month and finish those games ? Do this every few months when good exclusives come out for PS5 ?Will have to get both. No choice then. -

See if the budget is tight then yes you can start with the vanilla P5. But I strongly suggest you get straight into P5R if you have never experienced Persona. If you can wait then maybe prices will drop further on the P5R in another month or two.
Also, before you dive in do note that these are 100hrs + games so I don't know if you'll want to play P5R again from scratch. Also, I don't think saved game files carry over from P5 to P5R.

Persona 5 Royal is the latest edition (2020)and is the comprehensive verison of Persona 5. It has additional story and characters, quality of life changes, some battle changes and all the DLC of Persona 5. I think if you haven't played Persona 5 you should pick up Royal. It's the definitive verison and if budget is not an issue then it is the obvious choice.Difference between Persona 5 Ultimate (1200 bucks) and P5Royal?Whereas, Persona 5 Ultimate is the Ultimate edition of the older version of Persona 5 (2017) Includes all the DLC and extra items which you can check in the description also I think it unlocks a higher difficulty. But simply put it will not include all the additions made to Royal.

I am sure all these games will be on sale again I would suggest that maybe finish a game or two. End of the year has some of the best sales, you might get P5R at even lower price in Nov/Dec.
I'll take two of those then.
I also have Ratchet and Clank, Witcher 3, AC Odyssey, Arkham Knight, Dragon Age Inquistion, UC Lost Legacy just sitting for months now. Some of the best games on the system xD.

The games I have completed the story mode for - UC4, RDR2 (f**king played this like there was no tomorrow). I also finished Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter. I just wanted to have a plat, and it was cheap.
The only thing I've played in quarantine is Apex Legends (you know how addicting this thing is). Not much, only 2 hours a week or so, but I'll get to my backlog this weekend onwards. Will finish everything before the year is up.
Even I have a backlog and I have somehow controlled and not bought a single game during these sales. Finally ended up finishing a couple of games from the backlog - it feels so good. -
I hope it lives upto the high expectations set by The Haunting of Hill House.
That show was phenomenal and I remember I wasn't well and was on leave and I watched it all in one day. This comes out on a Friday so going to start it after work and finish it on Saturday. -
HP 2676 is what I bought for wfh 2 months back, I got it for around 6k on sale. Does evrything and is wireless so you can set it up anywhere in the house without worrying about wires.Looking for printers in sub-6k range. Any suggestions people?-

Agreed. They sometimes run bonus offers for points transfer like Marriot Bonvoy, Airline Miles etc.
That is the best way to utilize the points. But then again most of the bonus offers and transfer offers are for air travel and hotels and god knows when it will be safe to travel again. I am sitting with a lot of Marriot Bonvoy points but god knows when I will be able to use it.

The problem is I have had very good experiences with Croma (online) compared to Tata Cliq. I think the reason is Tata Cliq tries to be like Amazon catering to every segment and their customer service team cant handle/don't have the knowledge to attend to requests. Whereas Croma focuses on electronics and hence their customer service team has the basic knowledge to attend to electronics related queries.

Croma for some reason has been out of the picture specially during and after lockdown. I remember picking up my PS4 from Croma when every other retailer was showing out of stock. They arranged one for me from their Bangalore store even though I had enquired in a Delhi store.
I wanted to buy some electronics during lockdown and Croma was showing every item as not available, I tried entering multiple pincodes out of curiosity and got the same result. -

Yeah it's looking pretty bleak.Also an update , I went through all of the contact us at gamestheshop, shopatsc, Amazon, flipkart and no one not a single of them even have confirmation of PS5 launching this year in India
I had contacted gamestheshop via instagram and they just said we will keep you updated and will get in touch if they have any info. Same is the case with Sony Centre they said to check back after 10-15 days for an update maybe they will.have some info by that time. -
I agree. TLOU2 used disc was available for around 2600-2700 just a couple of weeks after launch and Ghost of Tsushima for 3k. The same is not the case for digital. We will have to wait a couple of months atleast for the game to get discounted to those levels. Also say I bought TLOU2 for 2600 I could complete it in a week and sell it for 2400 again can't do that with digital. Sharing PSN with close friends will be the only solution to play them cheap.Which is bad for consumers like us . No more used games= very very less gaming. -

Agreed.If someone has the money and they want to experience the latest and the greatest hardware on Day 1 and not wait to experience it then how is it showing off?
Could be that the person is just so passionate about gaming or an Iphone or any such product. It could be that they have been waiting for it to come out for quite a time.
It's the person's choice and money. Just because it doesn't make sense for you doesn't mean someone else is buying it for validation.
1. If someone is willing to pay 70-80 k in the grey market to get it early before official launch definitely has that kind of money.
2. It is more to do with passion and the experience rather than showing off imo. Yes there is the added bonus of showing off to your frnds/family that you have it even before launch but I doubt that is the sole reason.
Basically, if someone has the money and is passionate I see nothing wrong/weird in owning something day 1/before official launch. -

There is no clear release date announced. But articles suggest that it will release before March 2021 in the west.

Also, here in Delhi the local stores let you rent gaming consoles and games. Currently for a PS4 Pro it's around Rs. 2500 with 2-3 games included.
