DCB/ Diners doesn't even work at most of the places online like razorpay or internationally, and tap-to-pay doesn't work for diners card 99% unless it's a specific model of HDFC POS machines.
This is a paint point on DCB for sure if you go to any Asian country it will not work at any POS. In India online it is an issue at times but POS is a non-issue now, atleast in metros. But DCB is a great card and as Kunjan mentioned HDFC has been consistent over the years and Infinia/DCB are arguably the best cards in India, there have been awesome cards like Magnus etc but they get devalued in under one year or so. The whole point of HDFC cards is to hold on to them put decent spends and reach DCB/Infinia.

Honestly, with the backlog because of the very good months and the PS Extra list I am okay with 3-4 bad months.

is apple care worth getting
Depends on which product. Apple watch it is worth it because the watch is highly susceptible to damage and apple care can help you if the screen is damaged they essentially replace the watch so you are technically getting an almost new watch with great battery. But at the end of the day it is for peace of mind. I don't think it is worth it on something like the iPad or Mac

Main to TLOU ki story bhool bhi gaya and you remember this.
That said calling spade a spade no way this is a 10/10 game.
Agreed, honestly the SM series is getting boring after SM1 and MM this feels more of the same, I am maybe 50-60% through so might change my judgement later but I doubt it as I start getting bored after an hour of the game.

No , i have ordered few for friends, all nicr and genuine
As long as haptics work there is no lag/drift the deal is good.
If the fakes are getting as good as the real thing who cares.
I still think it is not fake and is the real deal. You can fake the aesthetics but haptics I am not so sure.

Unfortunately Orient is underrated brand, my neighbor asked me is the fan and watch company same
I know man unfortunately Orient is too niche of a brand in India. I have an Orient Small Seconds (champagne dial) that so many people ask about and when I tell them the brand they are clueless. Seiko in the past 8-10 years has started gaining popularity in India, there are now exclusive stores in Metro cities for Seiko.
It is a brilliant watch man, enjoy it. Cheers!

Wanted to get into the Halloween mood and watched two horror/thriller movies.
The Ritual on Netflix - loved it, great cinematography and atmosphere with a decent plot. Got The Blair Witch project vibes at times.
No one will save you on Hotstar - Gripping from start to finish and a decent alien movie after a long time. The ending was a bit weird.
Both enjoyable.

Is there gonna be another massive sale sometime?
Wanna pick up the Apple Watch SE 2, i think it went for 21K or so during the sale earlier this month.
The initial 2-3 days of the sale usually have the best prices so unlikely.
The airpods are selling for reduced prices I guess because of the new usb-c version.

Very new to black coffee. Always been a filter coffee drinker so recently pivoted to moka pot did not enjoy much now got aeropress and this is definitely much better.
Currently I got Sampigehoney Estate, Orchardale Estate and Seethargundu Estate from BT, sticking with grind coffee for now
Take your time and try different roasters. Down the line the biggest improvement you can do is to get a grinder and grind before brewing. You will realize the change in taste is day and night. Coffee oxidizes as soon as it is ground and starts losing its flavor and taste. No need to rush honestly. Till then enjoy the coffee. Cheers!

I love espresso, but it’s the grinder that always holds me back from taking the plunge and getting an espresso setup
And yes, Starbucks is burnt trash. It’s not even coffee in my book.
Those ppl serve espresso in paper cups.
If you are okay with manual then 1zpresso Jx-pro at around 17k is more than capable of handling espresso. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much with the Baratza ESP but it has surprised me but I mostly use medium roasts it might struggle with light roasts for espresso haven't really used light roasts for espresso so can't comment. It is more than capable for light roasts for pourover though.

Silver Oak blend from BT is the reference point for Indian espressos.
They use this same thing in all their cafés for their espressos.
Don't think it can get better than this.
There are better beans out there for espresso. It is very subjective at the end of the day but I love KC Roasters/Kapi Kotai/Quick Brown Fox more for the espresso roasts. But I love BT for some of their light roasts for pour over(v60). Orchardale is LOVE. They even released a producer series for Orchardale have placed an order for it.
Also, I don't think espresso is an overkill for home, if you love coffee and are willing to give it some time then it is an absolute joy. Making espresso drinks at home has been extremely therapeutic. Since I have started making espresso/lattes at home I noticed I never really want to go to BT/Starbucks/ThirdWave etc for coffee. I prefer my home espresso. Starbucks is the absolute worst of them all, I made the mistake of purchasing their beans as well once and it is just extremely dark and burnt you just cant have espresso from their beans and this was apparently a light roast as per their description.

I have a French press. Not planning to get a espresso machine any time soon. The one you mentioned is a manual one right? Isn't there an electric one i can get in that range?
Or is manual one easy to use? It's not too much labour?
Not much labour if it is just for 1-2 cups should be less than a minute for something like a french press/v60. Electric will cost you atleast 12-15k for a good grinder. All the cheap electric Chinese grinders/local brands use blades which are not optimum for coffee. You need grinders that use burrs to grind the coffee for the coffee to taste great. An entry level electric grinder is the Baratza Encore but it costs around 15k you can get it for around 10k used.
Also, if you are up for it try v60 for brewing, the plastic Hario one is very well renowned and you can get it for just Rs. 500 (plus you will need to spend 200-300 on the paper filters). The v60 will be a cleaner and more smooth drink compared to the French Press. The coffee from the v60 will not be oily and have less body if that makes any sense. Since it is so cheap I highly recommend you to try it, though it does require more time and attention compared to the French Press.
Another thing, always buy your coffee from companies that roast the coffee fresh and are not just selling some coffee which they just keep roasting and storing and sell it as and when orders come (like starbucks, lavazza, illy etc.) Some good companies to buy from are Blue Tokai, Kapi Kotai, Quick Brown Fox and KC Roasters are some I have tried. Try the Orchardale from Blue Tokai if you like orange notes in your coffee and you want some sweet/fruity coffee. It has been my fav. this season.
If you ever plan to go down the rabbit hole send me a DM and checkout James Hoffman on youtube.

If we're on that topic, do you guys grind your own coffee? What grinder is good to buy?
Yup freshly ground coffee from some good beans will always beat any pre-ground coffee you buy.
What is your budget ? If you only need it for french press or v60 or aeropress then the Timemore C2/C3 for around 4-5k should be good enough but if you really want to take the plunge down the rabbit hole of espresso then you need to spend atleast 15-17k on the grinder. I think the beans and the grinder are the most important purchases for a good cup of coffee. I fortunately or unfortunately have gone down the rabbit hole and have an electric grinder (Baratza ESP) and an espresso machine which I use for lattes and sometimes when I am in the mood or in a 'dark place' I drink espresso. Then there are some other days I use a v60 for lighter roasts/fruity coffees.

anyone has idea about Hong Kong tourist visa, how long it takes to process, and how long one needs to explore the place?
Went to HK this year in May. There is an online travel permit provided you are visiting for less than 2 weeks, you can apply online and you get instant confirmation. If you have time then visit Macau as well, they have created the Las Vegas strip there with all the grand hotels and casinos. Good fun if you are into that. In HK you can go to The Peak, Chin Lin Nunnery, Lantau Island and Tai Kwun. If you like trekking and climbing then Tung Lung Chau is a must. Shek O Beach and Repulse Bay Beach are nice to hang out. Obviously there is Disney Land and Lego Land Discovery Centre if you are into that, I skipped it. If you love food and good authentic coffee then you are in for a treat there are numerous Michelin star restaurants and brilliant cafes in HK. My fav. cafes were Elephant Grounds and Halfway Coffee. The Metro is fantastic and well connected, just take the octopus card on arrival at the airport it works in the metro/busses/cafes etc. Be ready to walk 20-25k steps a day if you want to explore HK, I think a week is sufficient in HK.
