It's a classic case of corporate malicious compliance. They won't advertise the free upgrade from PS4 to PS5, just like Nintendo does not advertise that they'll repair drifting Joy Cons for free if you ship it to them.

Sony have absolutely no shame... The first thing they should've done after announcing the free upgrade from PS4 to PS5 is make both versions $60. Instead they stopped talking about it to make sure more and more people would buy the PS5 version for $70 due to lack of knowledge.

There is noise from the disc drive definitely… Happens mostly for 10-15 seconds on start up and when copying disc data to console. Some people on YouTube fixed it loosening or tightening the disc drive screws, as it’s caused by vibrating disc drive.

I think for your gaming needs, it’s better to pick games individually and take your time with it… Binging doesn’t go well with gaming.. Whenever I try to play games from subscription services just because they are available, I don’t have a good time with them. That’s probably why I play 2-3 games from Gamepass out of the 100 available.
