PS Now is a joke. Sony just keeps adding “new” games each month that already exist on PS Plus or vice verse. I kept my subscription just for the F1 games that stay all year. If they don’t add PS5 games soon, I will bin this service once it expires.

Claim them from the PS App or through the psn website. Just add them to your library and you’ll own them forever, no need to start downloading.

Good point for people who already own the game. But for those who just want to play the free ps plus game, it's still a great way to experience it. I had the same experience as well. Played it only on 60. Moreover, Control has a bare-bones version of RT and it does not justify playing in the 30 fps mode at all.

It depends on the game. If you simultaneously switch between 60 and 30, then 30 would feel terrible. In this case (FF7 on PS5), it feels smooth and is very stable and offers an enjoyable experience. A bad example would be bloodborne, HZD, which i would never touch because of the stuttery 30 fps. I recommend you first play FF7 on PS5 or PS4 Pro and then tell me if the frame rate or the visual fidelity is hindering your experience at all. This game is barely one year old.

This is so NOT true. The current PS4 version already looks incredible on PS5 and PS4 Pro. It maintains a stable 30 fps, feels very smooth. There is really no reason to wait for PS5 upgrade until June. Highly recommend new players to play the PS Plus version.

Won’t have the same nostalgic value. Watch the original trilogy at least (eps 4,5 and 6). Or you could go the reverse route and watch Mandalorian first and then connect the dots with Star Wars later.

Absolutely. Such a nostalgic game. Wish I had a PS2 to replay it now. I always remember it as the first stealth game I ever played. Unforgettable experience.

Disagree with everyone who said you got scammed. This is a solid deal, especially if you get the PS5 Digital. PS Plus is valuable only if you keep the subscription for 2-3 years at least. And if you're worried you'll never have time to play those 108 games, ask yourself how many games (from over 100 high quality titles) you're actually playing from the game pass library. It's the same. As an added bonus, you get to keep ps plus games forever as long as you're subbed.

Yup, seen many kids with parents like that. But for them, it may seem like a good deal (even though it's better to find a pre-owned PS4). They don't fall under the enthusiast segment, so they can easily spend the next 3-4 years with PS4 and get the games for very cheap.

Unreal how they’re still selling the slim for 30k, especially with games like GT sport and RC bundled At least give them GoT or TLOU2 free for spending 30k in 2021 on a PS4.

If Microsoft gets into contracts with 3rd parties like Ubisoft, EA, Rockstar for day 1 gamepass release, then the situation will be as bad as you’re describing. For now, there’s no need to worry about such a drastic change. It won’t happen.

Yup. I was talking about GP ultimate. 500 is still expensive, I feel. And most people won't go for the 500 plan, because MP will be locked behind Live Gold paywall again. PS plus comes down to 170 per month if you buy it for a year during any sale.

Sony has been doing it for a LONG time. PS Plus collection is nothing compared to the value PS Plus has been offering over the years. Long-term PS Plus (at least for 2-3 years) subscription has a better value with free games. The free monthly games stay with you forever, unlike game pass where you lose access to the 3rd party games once they leave the service, despite having an ongoing subscription. Personally, I felt Game pass was an expensive service for the games they offered (in the 9 months I was subscribed to it). I never touched 90% of the games, but that's just me. For now, you can do the Live Gold conversion promo and get it for a cheap monthly price, but eventually when the prices roll back to normal, it'll be 700, which is too much.

PLAY AT HOME update!

Will reach that price point soon, maybe in one more month..hopefully with more PS5 penetration in the country. DeS is more accessible. Provides many ways to beat bosses. Also the level design (especially backtracking) is the best in the series.

Ridiculous price drop. Went from 4K to 3.4.. Had sold my copy just 2 days ago for 3500 locally. btw... the game is really easy to beat, compared to other souls games. Just level up and get OP.
