plan is to add all PS4 and PS5 games to the library over the next 3 years till my Gamepass Ultimate subscription expires. That’s a total of 36*3 = 108 games. Cost would be 2249*3 = ₹6747. Hopefully, to cover the cost, at least 7 games worth ₹1000 each would be included in the 108 games, rest are just bonus.

After 3 years, I’ll get the PS5 or PS5 slim which will be hopefully released by that time with more reliable controller and better and smaller design. At that time, I would have a ready library of 108 games from ps plus. Almost as good as Gamepass. To add to that, good PS exclusives will be less than ₹2000 per game by that time (like ff7r integrade)

Disagree with everyone who said you got scammed. :P

This is a solid deal, especially if you get the PS5 Digital.

PS Plus is valuable only if you keep the subscription for 2-3 years at least.

And if you're worried you'll never have time to play those 108 games, ask yourself how many games (from over 100 high quality titles) you're actually playing from the game pass library. It's the same.

As an added bonus, you get to keep ps plus games forever as long as you're subbed.

Got raped in Islands Edge, definitely need more level up here... Using Parry will make things a bit easy..

The 2nd Reaper on Island’s edge is a nightmare :ko:

It was more difficult for me than any boss fight.

And the sad part is that they know people will buy it. When I was running around for booking a PS5, almost 10 customers came and cheered that they will get to save 20k plus also get 2 games. Mostly were parents or someone like that, I feel for their kids.

Yup, seen many kids with parents like that.

But for them, it may seem like a good deal (even though it's better to find a pre-owned PS4).

They don't fall under the enthusiast segment, so they can easily spend the next 3-4 years with PS4 and get the games for very cheap.

Problem is not the PSplus subscription or Games Pass’s actual Subscription price

It’s what M$ has initiated with the back door entry of $1 conversion of Gold into GamesPass

This has sort of opened up a Pandora’s box like McDonald’s did with it’s Rs 20 burger lineup here in India

Yes I get it,they some!! how wanted to move their next gen system coz it just didn’t have any value to it otherwise

But by doing this they have stirred up an unreasonable expectation amongst gamers who will at the slightest sign (Like Gold becoming double the price) will start crying about having to pay more

This will eventually even lead to Sony & Nintendo having to offer something similarly unreasonable (Sony has somewhat already started contemplating with PSplus collection & Play From home)

Which I fear will eventually lead to a disaster instead of a Gaming nirvana that gamers are visualising

Hitman 3 hardly sold any copies on Xbox

now imagine if it got no sales on PS too

Why would anyone make games of that stature at all!!

Everything will turn to sh*t like Dirt,Outriders or Sea of Thieves

Even Halo will try & turn into something like Warframe (read Destiny) like HPsam also pointed out in one of his podcasts & posts

It’s a short term burst of craziness happening for sure but long term effects could be weird

If Microsoft gets into contracts with 3rd parties like Ubisoft, EA, Rockstar for day 1 gamepass release, then the situation will be as bad as you’re describing.

For now, there’s no need to worry about such a drastic change. It won’t happen.

Isn't it around 500 for the normal tier  and Ultimate around 750-800?

Yup. I was talking about GP ultimate.

    500 is still expensive, I feel. :fear1:

And most people won't go for the 500 plan, because MP will be locked behind Live Gold paywall again.

PS plus comes down to 170 per month if you buy it for a year during any sale.

But the success of gamepass has made an impact and thus you get to see something like Playstation Plus Collection & Play at Home. A full fledged subscription service is something which you are not going to see anytime soon from Sony.

Sony has been doing it for a LONG time. PS Plus collection is nothing compared to the value PS Plus has been offering over the years.

Long-term PS Plus (at least for 2-3 years) subscription has a better value with free games. The free monthly games stay with you forever, unlike game pass where you lose access to the 3rd party games once they leave the service, despite having an ongoing subscription.

Personally, I felt Game pass was an expensive service for the games they offered (in the 9 months I was subscribed to it). I never touched 90% of the games, but that's just me.  For now, you can do the Live Gold conversion promo and get it for a cheap monthly price, but eventually when the prices roll back to normal, it'll be 700, which is too much.

I am waiting for it to fall to 2k or lesser :fear:

Already have entire DS series along with Bloodborne, but have finished only DS1.

Will reach that price point soon, maybe in one more month..hopefully with more PS5 penetration in the country.

I think BB, DS3 and Sekiro are fast and fun. DS1, DS2 and DeS are all slow, lumpy and painful

DeS is more accessible. Provides many ways to beat bosses.

Also the level design (especially backtracking) is the best in the series.

I tried PS5's rest mode for the second time since I got it, and it wasn't booting up. Just flashing lights. Had to force a reboot using the power button. Goddamn almost gave me a heart attack. Rest mode never again

This is an HDMI handshake issue.

Generally speaking, the PS5's rest mode is working fine.. but it glitches out with certian TVs/monitors.

Sometimes, turning off HDR FROM PS5's settings can fix it.

But it's better not to use, in your case.

Get a ps5 now and a series x 2 years down when it becomes cheaper. You'll not see a new bethesda game before 2022 anyway and the current ones for 2021 are already releasing on ps5.

    +1
This is the easiest decision to make and also something I plan to do too.

There’s nothing you’ll miss on Xbox at least for the next 2-3 years.

Personally I would miss only MS Flight Sim 2020.

Also, PS Plus is a great alternative to game pass. It’s been on fire lately.

  10. PS5’s home screen HDR is the best quality of life improvement that I’ve noticed so far. Thank god for this.

TV doesn’t have to constantly switch between  HDR and SDR. It’s so smooth going from game to home screen.
Even though this forces HDR on non-HDR games, I really don’t mind. The always-on HDR is superior.
