From not even knowing about this game 6 months ago to being absolutely psyched about this game to release in a week. This game has come a long way. Perfect marketing. Show the game with not very long time to release, release frequent videos, release a proper demo and do collabs. I just hope the story is as good as premise.

this is a proper system seller it seems

some post on reddit concluded that people are buying PS5s just to play this game

Yep weird facial animations and the usual western trope that women cannot be attractive.

Shoutout to Eastern developers for not submitting to Western demands.

Which are these 4 games from top to bottom?

One of the game, the reviews of which I won't trust as Hellblade 1 is overrated as hell.

    - Boring puzzles

    - sh*t combat

    - Good Graphic for that time and some good dialogues.

    - with an okay character and story.

can you f**k off from this thread? You have already told everyone 100 times how you didn't like hellblade 1

Don't repeat yourself like a moronic idiot

    No consultant.

Will just wing it through my friends who are already at these universities.

I don't think I have it in me to work with a consultant and also pay them a good chunk.

Admission requirements for the new rounds aren't out yet, once they are out, I will start working on them.

Are you applying/have applied as well?

I applied to a few Unis in R2 last year but my applications were rushed. Waiting to see if anything shakes out. If not, I’ll be applying R1 this year

    Only US top 7-8 schools.

If I don't get it then I don't want anything else and will figure out my way.

Median + 30 would be around 770 for something like HBS.

Although, anything above 750 and I hope the rest will be covered by my profile (which hopefully will be enough).

    Nice.

Which consultant are you working with for the apps?

    Q88

    V85

    D85

I am not sure if I am denoting the correct breakup, but all 3 are basically within the same percentile range.

I could have done better in Quant as I didn't remember a few properties of inequalities and for Verbal, I gave answers as per how CAT works but turns out GMAT is a bit different.

    Looks good.

    which b-schools are you targeting?

as a rule of thumb for Indians to be competitive, add 30 to the median GMAT score published by the b-school

    Yeah, typo, it was 705.
    So around 750 in classic.

Should be able to push it to 725, hopefully 750.

As for GRE, I have seen that anything above 320 is decent. But I will be sticking with GMAT for now and try again in a few weeks.

What were your sectional breakups for the 705? Was it balanced across the 3 sections?

Can I read the 2nd and 3rd books after having seen the first season but without reading the first book ? I understand the character names/locations etc might be different.  But will it be too hard to follow ?

Books are dense on the science and tech compared to the show. Starting from 1st book may be a good idea

So completed 3 body problem on Netflix.  I have mixed opinions.  The show starts well with an intriguing premise, peaks somewhere in episode 5 and then just goes down with a few scattered moments of awe, but that’s about it.  The last 2-3 episodes have way too many fillers and emotional/romantic subplots which I found to be an annoying distraction from the main plot.  In terms of sci-fi series, it’s nowhere as engaging as DARK or even the initial seasons of LOST!

Not having high hopes for second season now, I think I’m gonna read the wiki to know what happens in the sequels!

2nd book and 3rd book is where the action happens, it has hyper advanced technology inter galactic warfare. Think Interstellar movie but much more advanced

the tech will be beyond imagination, don’t know how they will pull it off

I don't think colleges have a preference nowadays.

Anyway, took a mock test from MBA.com for GMAT focus. Scored 700.

Now according to the equivalency table, 700 is equivalent to 750 on the old test.

While 750 on the new test will only result to a 770 equivalent. They have truly made it difficult to score higher.

Nevertheless, I did get confused in Verbal and I need to polish few basic concepts in Quant now.

But will give a mock test for GRE first.

In GMAT FE, scores always end in 5 like 695, 705, 725. You are saying 700 and 750 in FE which doesn’t seem to be correct

Score equivalence in GMAT classic and GMAT FE or new FE being hard to score higher doesn’t matter. It’s the percentile that matters. For example, 705 in FE has the same percentile as 750 in classic both are 98.6 percentile

ideally you should target 99th percentile score which is 760 in classic and 725 in FE

For 99 percentile in GRE, I think the target score is 333 or above

Why not just go for the easier GRE?

taking the GMAT, which is designed for b-schools, sort of shows your commitment to business schools, about your decision for management education. Reporting GRE scores may show indecision to management school adcoms, as its widely accepted for lots of graduate programs, about your selection of programs or even a lack of clarity about career goals

Is this the official: https://www.amazon.in/GMAT-OFFICIAL-GUIDE-FOCUS-2023/dp/9354646506 ?

Also, I am targeting 750+ on the new GMAT focus.

I am a little confused if GRE would be better or not, target are B-schools only.
Schools don't have a preference but just thinking about which is easier to crack.

amazon link is correct. There are also 3 other books if you need additional official questions for each section

GRE has more vocab than GMAT but GRE is easier overall. Just take an official GMAT mock on mba.com. If you are scoring around 720-730 on the mock without any study, you can improve to 750+ with study and refinement.

after 1st GMAT mock, study and see if you are able to crack 750+ in next mocks. If yes, go for real exam. If score after study is not reaching desired level, try GRE

Can anyone provide good prep-resources for GMAT? Specifically for the new GMAT Focus.

Official guides and online question bank by GMAC are the best source of practice questions, don’t go for any other questions by 3rd party providers (although Manhattan Prep is decent but pricey)

Before anything else, register on mba.com and take a full length free mock test to gauge where you stand and form a strategy to tackle different sections

btw, what score are you targeting?
