no no no as @CarbonCore said, the SSD spec is just meh. The whole ecosystem built around the PS5 SSD is just revolutionary (not to mention the GPU CU vs frequency choice, another very exciting aspect for PS5) now the important point to think about is that Xbox Series consoles have their architecture fixed in stone now (a significant step below PS5) PC has many lower tier configs - a low common denominator which means Xbox Series and PC (and PS5) next gen 3rd party games will be nice - these games will be held back in design by lowest common denominator HDD using PCs and Xbox Series consoles which don't and can't upgrade to PS5 level architecture BUT!!! PS5-only exclusives which can leverage the mighty PS5 architecture will be miles beyond the 3rd party next gen games as there's no low tier PC or Xbox Series console to hold it back!!!!! Faaaaaaaaaaaaaccccccccckk!! PS5 EXCLUSIVES GONNA BLOW PEOPLE AWAY!!

I told you but I think you missed it. Might have been fastest I bought anything on Amazon will play co-op soon with you but currently buried 100 feet under ground with pending single player games across 3 consoles PS5, XSX and PS3

No apparent performance advantage as of now. Expansion SSDs are performing better in many cases, but only marginally Only advantage with internal ssd is that it comes free with the console

which also means that ps5’s ssd advantage of 5.5gb/s vs xsx’s ssd’s 2.4gbps is also lessened rift apart runs smoothly with low speed 3.9gbps SSDs which means the internal ps5 ssd has a significant amount of unused headroom which means that the actual full potential of the ps5 ssd is either possible only with ps5 proper exclusives (not cross gen) but it may even not be reached as the ssd headroom may be much higher than the ps5 i/o pipeline can handle/fully use i.e. 5.5gbps may be overkill and perhaps won’t be fully used unless in ideal cases (my speculation) in the face of this info, XSX 2.4 gbps ssd now seems just fine and competitive. It’s 2.4 gbps is ‘sustained’ raw performance - if it means anything

base game is very easy compared to the dlc there are new mechanics, enemy quantities and enemy combinations which will make it necessary to have perfection in your play, else dead

my main complaint resolved!

I am using internal ssd + external hdd combo (1TB and 1.5TB hdds for the 2 consoles) unlikely to buy extra ssd this gen as I will not be playing more than 3-4 games at the same time also, the 2 consoles have 667gb + 800gb. That’s nearly 1.5TB of internal ssd for games, more than sufficient for most people

I just love the haptics of the dualsense. Enjoyed it a lot in RnC Rift Apart and Demon's Souls. Triggers not that much 3d tempest audio + dualsense haptics is an unbeatable combo for sheer immersion and sensory overload - very enjoyable, that 'wow' factor MS must update the XSX controller haptics to match DS asap

Beat the in DLC part 1. A fun fight. Epic cut scene at the end.

Playing Miles Morales. Fidelity mode FTW. Looks spectacular even though 30fps. Minutes details like fabrics and surfaces look super detailed 60fps is too fast for this cinematic game imo and even Rift Apart Intro sequence was fantastic! Music is cool and chill, good vibes. while he’s dodging away to try to heal, run like hell and get a backstab. I’ve seen this work in PvP also, after some tries, you get an estimate of when he’ll try to heal. Just before that, run away towards the stairs and get out his aggro range so that he forgets the encounter and the urge to heal. Then, go back and finish him off I’ve not tried these tactics on black fantom Satsuki but should be interesting, will try it
