another video which simplifies the ps5 architecture. Keep in mind that he doesn't dive into kraken data and i/o complex but this video can be a good starter to take a deeper dive into the road to ps5 video

Just…wrong
I actually spent time to do research to understand, that’s why changed my mind

Still doesn't make sense. What you see while playing a game is loaded on to the RAM. The streaming aspect is controlled by SSD bandwidth and transfer speeds. So if I can't fill my RAM with enough data needed to render the screen, it takes some more time to load.
By what you are saying, Sony is going to design a world that would require a refill of the entire RAM everytime you turn your head. If the world is so rich, then PS5 will run out of space even before you play for a few mins
Hyperbole, but you get where I am going.
The only place where it will help is if you want to transition across worlds as in Rift Apart. But how many games would actually do that? If you constantly do that, immersion would be lost. All said and done, what Sony has done with Kraken is really good. But it is not going to result in stuff that is miles ahead of competition. Better that XSX? Probably yes.
no man no!!!
just watch these 3 videos 2-3 times. I actually did, that’s why I am hyped
anyone who thinks he supports PS should watch, understand and appreciate

Ratchet port will run and perform better on PC than PS5 version
Rift Apart would seem primitive compared to games that fully fill the 5.5gbps with kraken data
the output can go up to 22gbps with proper kraken data
in how many years will PC catch up to that standard such that it’s as commonly available as PS5s at that time?

Complex IO makes it impossible according to IVG experts.
Back in PS3 days, we used to see this nonsense from PS side - Oh this game designed keeping PS3 architecture in mind, will not work anywhere and now we see this again.lol
PS5 hardware architecture is designed to make it super easy for devs code forVulcan APIs on software side are also easy to use
PS5 is easy tp code for on both hardware and software fronts
Edit: sorry, not really a correct reply to your comment. Read my other 2 comments for clarification

Still don't understand why exclusives cannot be ported over. What's the worst that will happen? A couple of loading screens?
no, that would apply only if SSDs were in considerationIt’s about game design capabilities for devs
PS5 I/O is so good and fast that, for example, the world can be designed in extraordinary amounts of detail because I/O can enable PS5 to stream incredible amounts of data for example, while player is turning around
this kind of huge data streaming on the fly, as a player turns, is only possible because of PS5 custom I/O complex
so when PS5 only exclusives are being made, the super detailed data heavy world would only work on PS5 because of its data streaming/loading capabilities on the fly

Almost every non PS exclusive game is almost always better on OX than Pro
games which have not been enhanced for X1X runs like Xbox one at 900p even on X1Xwhile Pro runs in PS4 version of 1080p or better
only few selected games have been enhanced for X1X eg in the dirt series, only dirt rally 2 is X1X enhanced

On what basis you all are saying that PS5 exclusives not possible on PCs even with PCi Gen 4 hardware nd all
Answer: PS5 I/O complexThis custom piece of hardware is not present in Xbox Series console and won’t be present in the majority of PCs
That’s why PS5 only exclusives likely won’t come to PC. It’s similar to Rift Apart, Demon’s Souls, Returnal etc not working on a PS4 simply because of lack of hardware

If you think I am a sarcastic Xbot, let me tell you that right now, I own 3 working Playstation consoles - PS3, PS4 Pro and PS5. I have also previously owned a PS2. The only Xbox I have owned in my life is the XSX which I purchased last November, not even 1 year with Xbox while more than a decade with PS
It is generally understood that if you support PS/Xbox, you buy those consoles and games on that platform
and looking at how many Playstations I spent money on and own right now, no one can claim that I am a sarcastic Xbot
You can also let me know how many people right now own more Playstation consoles than me. That’ll tell you where my loyalties lie
My PS3 still works fine and am currently playing Batman Arkham City on it

Most gaming pc dudes have like a 120gb to 256gb ssd already, it's been a standard component for many years now, mainly for QoL improvements aside from gaming.
Series S will die alone in a ditch once Xbox SeX takes off in terms of sales.
series x already has SSD and "valocity architexture" according to MS, and PCs will get DirectStorage once those new "Gen4" NVME ssds come out and become mainstream, so by 2024 or 25 we may see the "fruits" in terms of multiplats.
this would count if only SSDs were in consideration
the whole ecosystem built around the PS5 ssd elevate the whole system to another level
this enables devs to have game design capabilities with the PS5 for PS5-only exclusives that 3rd party games and Xbox exclusives could only dream of - because of the PS5 architecture as a whole - ssd, kraken, i/o complex, gpu and what not - all custom built for PS5 and unique and revolutionary - no Xbox or PC would be able to match the game design capabilities/environment that PS5 hardware provides

More realizations -
PS5 has
- this amazing and powerful architecture that can't be replicated even on PC without breaking the bank
- super immersive dualsense haptics (and also triggers - ok ok)
- 3d tempest audio - amazing 1st hand experience with RnC Rift Apart and Demon's Souls
- terrific lineup of industry leading devs and studios for PS exclusives
Tremble in fear, mortal Xbox Series and PC owners
to add to this there are always arguments about APIs and "tools" getting matured day by day for Xbox Series consoles
meanwhile, PS5 Vulcan APIs are hitting it our of the park from day 1 to enable simply superior performance across 3rd party games which we have already seen eg. Dirt 5 and what not. These Vulkan APIs are also much simpler to use for devs, from what I've read. Xbox tools/APIs will develop/mature but so will PS5's - it won't get behind, possibly will always stay ahead
Summary:
- Software/Dev Tools/APIs - PS5 wins
- Hardware - PS5 wins, is revolutionary
- Studios - PS5 wins, by number and quality - just track record is enough to convince anyone
- Controller - PS5 wins, eg. I chose to play Plague Tale Innocence from PS Plus rather than the XSX Gamepass version simply because of dualsense haptics and
- 3d tempest audio - PS5 excellent, Xbox Series also pretty good
- Gamepass value - Xbox Series wins
Today, I've seen the light of day for the 1st time.

I press PS button, press left/right a few times to go to power icon, press shut down - less than 10 seconds usually
meanwhile, XSX full shutdown from settings is much longer and more button presses at least 10-25 seconds
but rest mode/instant on shutdown for both nearly take the same time
