Assuming you're talking about the SSD thing only.
no no no
as @CarbonCore said, the SSD spec is just meh. The whole ecosystem built around the PS5 SSD is just revolutionary (not to mention the GPU CU vs frequency choice, another very exciting aspect for PS5)
now the important point to think about is that Xbox Series consoles have their architecture fixed in stone now (a significant step below PS5)
PC has many lower tier configs - a low common denominator
which means Xbox Series and PC (and PS5) next gen 3rd party games will be nice - these games will be held back in design by lowest common denominator HDD using PCs and Xbox Series consoles which don't and can't upgrade to PS5 level architecture
BUT!!!
PS5-only exclusives which can leverage the mighty PS5 architecture will be miles beyond the 3rd party next gen games as there's no low tier PC or Xbox Series console to hold it back!!!!! Faaaaaaaaaaaaaccccccccckk!!
PS5 EXCLUSIVES GONNA BLOW PEOPLE AWAY!!

More realizations -
PS5 has
- this amazing and powerful architecture that can't be replicated even on PC without breaking the bank
- super immersive dualsense haptics (and also triggers - ok ok)
- 3d tempest audio - amazing 1st hand experience with RnC Rift Apart and Demon's Souls
- terrific lineup of industry leading devs and studios for PS exclusives
Tremble in fear, mortal Xbox Series and PC owners

Cerny presentation is pretty straightforward and DF has made videos about it. Or the Linus apology video from 4 min onwards.
dayum, it's UNREAL how powerful and amazing the PS5 architecture is
Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney recently stated that the upcoming Playstation 5 would feature a storage architecture "far ahead of anything you can buy on anything on PC for any amount of money right now".
More vids for the interested peeps -
Tonight, I'll probably be swimming in the PS5 I/O pipeline in my dreams

16.52 - Kraken + I/O Complex + SSD . He says they built a custom de-compressor into the I/O unit capable of handling over 5gbps of Kraken format input data. After decompression, it becomes 8-9gbps. The unit is capable of outputting as much as 22gbps!!!!!!!!!!!! if the data is compressed very well.
PS exclusives can't come soon enough!!!!
31.37 - (my favorite) the GPU
just some bookmarks for mental mas*urbation

Yes. The cerny presentation.
yeah, but if there was another source which explains like iam 5
That Cerny presentation is now my most favorite technical thing about consoles (along with PS3 cell CPU)
1st listen - didn't understand the nuances
Reverted back to the video after a lot of console wars to understand the 36CUs, high frequency GPU theory - "Rising tide lifts all boats" - Mind = Blown
Now this SSD - I/O Complex is another mind blowing aspect!
What else is hidden in there!!!!!!

The actual magic happens in the I/O complex and the dedicated hardware for streaming/compression/decompression. Something that's also possible on PC if you have $10,000 RAID card or a 64 core Threadripper (according to Linus).
very interesting. Is there any article/video which explains this in detail?

f**ker. You never told me. Let's coop this sometime. I really wanna replay this game.
I told you but I think you missed it. Might have been fastest I bought anything on Amazon
will play co-op soon with you but currently buried 100 feet under ground with pending single player games across 3 consoles PS5, XSX and PS3

Why is this game like 500 rs for pre owned? Isn't that a little too cheap than something like uncharted lost legacy which was a much older game?
I bought disc for ₹489 during this Amazon sale thanks to @Mr. Comingle -

what edge does having the memory fused on to the board have over using the expansion drive slot?
No apparent performance advantage as of now. Expansion SSDs are performing better in many cases, but only marginallyOnly advantage with internal ssd is that it comes free with the console

Yup, the SSD is only 1 part of the equation. The I/O pipeline is where the magic is as per the Insomniac dev.
But hey, people need their console wars ammo right.
which also means that ps5’s ssd advantage of 5.5gb/s vs xsx’s ssd’s 2.4gbps is also lessenedrift apart runs smoothly with low speed 3.9gbps SSDs which means the internal ps5 ssd has a significant amount of unused headroom
which means that the actual full potential of the ps5 ssd is either possible only with ps5 proper exclusives (not cross gen) but it may even not be reached as the ssd headroom may be much higher than the ps5 i/o pipeline can handle/fully use i.e. 5.5gbps may be overkill and perhaps won’t be fully used unless in ideal cases (my speculation)
in the face of this info, XSX 2.4 gbps ssd now seems just fine and competitive. It’s 2.4 gbps is ‘sustained’ raw performance - if it means anything

dayum, loading times from the samsung ssd are faster than ps5's internal ssd

Are you guys secretly playing in the dark after your wife/gf has gone to sleep?
not married yet
I play with lights off. That’s the optimum environment for HDR games. That Xbox logo white light is too bright and in your face especially in the dark

How's the difficulty compared to the base game?
base game is very easy compared to the dlc
there are new mechanics, enemy quantities and enemy combinations which will make it necessary to have perfection in your play, else dead

So how many here upgrading their SSDs with third party SSDs?
I am using internal ssd + external hdd combo (1TB and 1.5TB hdds for the 2 consoles)unlikely to buy extra ssd this gen as I will not be playing more than 3-4 games at the same time
also, the 2 consoles have 667gb + 800gb. That’s nearly 1.5TB of internal ssd for games, more than sufficient for most people

Horror games will benefit more from Dual sense coz of Haptick feedback n all
I just love the haptics of the dualsense. Enjoyed it a lot in RnC Rift Apart and Demon's Souls. Triggers not that much
3d tempest audio + dualsense haptics is an unbeatable combo for sheer immersion and sensory overload - very enjoyable, that 'wow' factor
MS must update the XSX controller haptics to match DS asap
-
dualsense wins again

Beat the
SpoilerTrial of Maligog
in DLC part 1. A fun fight. Epic cut scene at the end.

Playing Miles Morales. Fidelity mode FTW. Looks spectacular even though 30fps. Minutes details like fabrics and surfaces look super detailed
60fps is too fast for this cinematic game imo and even Rift ApartIntro sequence was fantastic! Music is cool and chill, good vibes. Waiting for the black suit in the home splash screen

Started Returnal
The haptics, sounds and visuals combo make it a sensory blast?
Demon’s Souls, Ratchet Clank Rift Apart and Returnal are miles beyond others in terms of immersion
