  1. He also says that "Series S sits alongside Series X - think of it like 2.5 best. Lower res but pretty solid." At this rate, the theory that XSS will pull XSX/PS5 down will soon prove to be incorrect.
  2. Hooooooly sh*t dude! That's just unbelievable!! Textures on the road are so crisp almost photo-realistic - 7th pic from the top - the bottom right half, especially the wide yellow stripe. Also, the lighting is stunning! If my XSX is able to get close to this after next gen updates, it'll be a blast

    Gears 5

I completed Gears 1 UE. Do you know how to perform advance Gears combat techniques? I heard about something called wall-bouncing.

    Gears 5

Awesome! I'll wait. Meanwhile, you can add me as a friend on Xbox Live - my gamer tag is UrsineCanvas520. Edit: Followed you at "maninthebox#1093".
  5. my question is whether base console don’t have sufficient power or it’s just bad optimization

    Bloodborne

    Would prefer Bloodborne 2

    Gears 5

I am on Gears 2 right now. If you want to co-op campaign, let me know. I’ll be going Gears 2-3-4-5. If anyone else wants to do old Gears co-op campaign let me know.
  8. Framerate drops to single digit on both
  9. I got XSX because Pro is much weaker than X1X and I want to play the best version of a lot of last gen backlog games plus Gamepass is a big money saver plus I wanted to experience Xbox games like Gears, Forza, etc. The best gaming experiences I had were stuff like 1) PS2 - God of War 1 & 2, Burnout 4, etc (I am forgetting many games) 2) PS3 - Uncharted 2, God of War 3, TLOU, Killzone 2 & 3, Heavy Rain 3) PS4 Pro - Bloodborne and the Old Hunters DLC, God of War 2018, Uncharted The Last Legacy, Spiderman, TLOU 2, HZD etc. on the Pro. But too much Playstation can be fatiguing and I needed a change. For me, the final destination is always Playstation. For the first time, I took a detour through Xbox land as it made a lot of sense for me personally.
  10. If anyone gets a PS5 1st, then I don't think they need to get anything else (except a PC in case they have bucketloads of money to spare). PS5-only guys just need to wait for next gen updates to current games and may wait for price drops for new games, if they want to defeat Gamepass value offering. Nothing else is needed actually. PS5 is the best of all worlds - Pros - 1) superb performance right out of the gate for multi-plats 2) low upfront cost compared to PCs 3) PS exclusives 4) ease of usage and plug-and-play nature of consoles Cons - Expensive games (and possibly expensive storage options) which can be countered by just waiting for few months/years and trading in disc based games. What more could one want?
  11. Well, to state it more clearly, competent dev = a dev team that can push graphical fidelity in games to new levels. 2077 is the best looking game ever based on what's possible on PCs. PC screenshots on 2077 thread are drool-worthy.

    Bloodborne

DLC bosses are a big step up in difficulty. Finish the DLC before the final boss from the main game otherwise you'll be forced to play the DLC on NG+ which is a nightmare
  13. Seems very similar to the concept from Tom Cruise's Edge of Tomorrow Effects look spectacular
  14. Watch from 6:48 onwards. NXGamer is a totally unbiased reviewer. That's what happens when competent devs like CDPR get a reasonable amount of time with the XSX SDK. Here XSX blows the competition even on loading speeds which is PS5 territory on paper. On resolution side, XSX does 13-15% better than PS5 on 60fps performance mode NXG says that devs like CDPR who are used to PC and DirectX can really make terrific XSX versions of the game. If PC version of any game is the best then XSX version is most likely going to be 2nd best and better than PS5 and such games like 2077 have terrific graphical fidelity since PC version is the best. Even with 2077, there are areas like alpha effects, reflections etc. where Xbone is better than PS4 due to playstation APIs being different than PCs and Xboxes as said by NXG. I think, with the right games and the right devs with a reasonable amount of time XSX version will almost always most likely be better for future games.
  15. Woah! How much does your PC cost? Please give a list of the parts that you have.
  16. Super cool looking indie - now available on GP
  17. I am taking it slow with instant on and quick resume - don't want to encounter unexpected glitches - it's still a baby Will wait for some updates to use it more frequently
  18. I am not using quick resume at all after hearing that it was buggy, could cause unnecessary problems. Without quick resume also, it loads super quick, I hardly notice any loading
  19. RT30 vs RT60 - any compromise on RT60 apart from resolution?
  20. Series S has the same CPU, same NVME SSD, 10GB of GDDR6 RAM, next gen architecture GPU. I am no hardware expert but these are very respectable specs for 1080p output. For example, with its CPU, XSS can handle same NPC density as XSX or PS5.
  21. I know My point is that in both cases, the reason for less performance is not inadequate hardware power.
  22. There is apples to apples comparison for raw power with 1224p / 60fps mode available on both
  23. The big problem with fanboys is that - with these numbers for 2077, on the face of it, XSX seems to be doing much better but that's not be the case - reason being PS5 being held back by Pro version for now Similarly, with other games like Dirt 5, PS5 seems to be doing much better but that may not be the case - reason being XSX being held back by "Tools" for now - this is a conjecture but there is undeniable benefit of doubt to be given to XSX
