Lol Bugthesda, we are fine with exclusives which are better than them. By the time Bugthesda game releases, sony would have Ragnarok ready

Fallout 4 on 12tf next gen console
Oh man MS fanboys surviving on such games
Awww poor MS Fans.
Rather than feeling riled up, I genuinely laughed

It's cool man, people want to play games how they like, that's all. There's no bad way of playing games and buying XSX doesn't mean that they can't or won't buy PS5. Everyone is free to enjoy what they please. We aren't here to convince anyone, that's Sony and MS's job - best we can do is help fellow gamers with good game recommendations, price drops, better information, game discussions etc. - all constructive stuff which helps.

Just saw your signature. it represents all the consoles you have or the decreasing order of importance ( to you) ?
It’s the order in which I bought the consoles/PC.
I currently own PS3, PS4 Pro and XSX. Gave away PS2 and PC.
The best gaming experience I had till date is Bloodborne with the Old Hunters DLC on the Pro. -
The library of games is so damn empty, that people are emulating older consoles and playing PS/Nintento titles (EXCLUSIVES) from the bygone (From N64/ WII to PS2) era on the XSS [emoji14]. And I dont see this trend changing till 2021 (mid) atleast.
BTW MS launching XSX here officially is just on paper. Everyone is getting imported units (sans warranty) only. So, both (Sony/MS) are sailing in the same boat!
I counted my “Play Later” games from Gamepass. It has 62 games which I have not played. And at least 1 good game is added each month.
Till now I just played PS exclusives so I missed out on a lot of other games.-

This will be ridiculously helpful while playing. -
Gamepass is just like netflix. There is shitload of stuff there but very few quality stuff. I've had gamepass for about an year now and played just Gears, Forza and Halo on it. Thats about it since we have limited free time and we would tend to give that to quality games instead of every tom dick and harry game gamepass throws at you. So most of my time goes with Sony's exclusives, some good multiplat games on PC and then if i have time then I play some Forza from gamepass.
You can check the entire Gamepass library in the google doc below sorted by Metacritic etc
There are games other than G, F and H which are worthwhile
EA Play games are listed in the last sheet, there are 80+ games from EA

Itne games store kahan karogey??
(assuming you are taking the digital route in toto)
PS5 Pro may likely have 2TB variant seeing people already facing storage shortage on PS5

autoHDR mode
Gears 1 Ultimate Edition does run very well with Auto HDR. I was amazed with the graphics, G1 being a very old game does show surprisingly good graphics fidelity with all XSX features

Now it’s just GamesPass GamesPass GamesPass
pay 57k today to play games going for .5-1k a piece elsewhere, for next three years

During the 2nd half of the 2020 when PS5 and XSX were slowly being unwrapped, my initial plan was to get a PS5 and play Spiderman remastered on it and all new games as they come out as well as backlog games at better performance. As more and more information got out, I learnt about Gamepass and the games they were offering and the price. It felt like too good an offer and still does. GP and the fact that RDR 2 runs at native 4k on XSX sealed the deal to go for XSX. RDR 2 still does blurry checkerboarding on Pro & PS5. Xbox being a completely new experience after a decade with PS also helps.
Also, it would take some years for PS5 to build a good library of 10-15 next gen exclusives. Till then I would be completing all last gen games and selected next gen games on XSX. If PS5 Pro comes out in 3-4 years that'd be even better and there would be excellent PS5 exclusives library built up by that time with all updates and patches - an excellent time to jump back into PS again.

Lol,
PS5 misses a few frames in some games despite being 1.8 TF lesser than Series X, Xbots: "Woooaha, look at the next gen powaaah, multiplats are better on SX"
Xbox Series X misses few frames in game despite being more powerful machine on paper. Xbots: "its marginal, it doesnt matter, you cant even see"
Ye Phil Chomu Baaba kaun sa churan deta hai inko Most console gamers don’t understand custom console hardware like PS5 or XSX and all intricacies involved.
You can hardly blame them for not understanding Cerny’s engineering behind PS5 which is quite advanced.
There was actually no way for a console gamer to tell that PS5’s custom hardware is better than XSX’s approach when they were just announced.
We have also not seen an example of a multi-plat game which is able to milk the last drop of performance from both XSX and PS5 most efficiently and then compare. I expect such a game to come some years later from AAA developers.

PS5 locked at 4K in quality mode and locked 60fps in quality mode.
SX occasionally drops below 4K in quality mode and has 3 times more tearing.
The Ls just keep rolling in
Total frames torn on both consoles are a minuscule % of total frames that were analyzed and XSX drops below 4k is quality mode are uncommon not occasional.
Differences seem to be unnoticeable and marginal. -
No point buying UE now when the enhanced version date is not even announced. Sale will come again.
Control is now out, download and play on BC mode.. would still run a lot better than One X
I bought it.
They said that enhancements would be out by early 2021. I have games to play till then. I estimate that there won’t be a new sale till enhancements are out till early 2021.
I have only bought Control UE which supports RT for next gen and I want to play it on my XSX as soon as enhancements come out early 2021. -
Physical is dead media. Even collector's edition come with empty case and digital code.
I don't even have DVD drive.
Old PC didn't use the drive either since SKYRIM days...
I recently bought Red Dead Redemption 2 for XSX. It had ~90GB of data on 2 discs with 31GB of downloaded updates
Also recently, I bought TLOU 2 which also came with 2 discs with 90+ GB on them and 5-6GB of downloaded updates. -
Kratos fighting Fenrir
Fenrir - same wolf which Hulk fought in Thor Ragnarok movie? -
Don't lie. You were spamming every thread saying XSX is the only console which can do 4k 120. Spamming every ps game thread begging for 60 fps too.
Then PS5 came out and you changed your tune.
To be honest when they announced 12TF vs 10TF for XSX vs PS5,
I considered that Pro with 4TF was a 1440p 30fps machine. X1X was 1800p-4K 30fps machine,
I thought that X1X could nearly do 4K at 6TF and both next gen consoles are at 10TF and 12TF,
that’s almost 2x power of X1X, not considering that 1TF of next gen is better than 1TF of last gen.
This means that both XSX and PS5 would easily do 4K 60fps.
TVs more than 4K would never go mainstream in the next 5-7 years. So my thoughts were that both next gen consoles have more than enough power to do 4k 60fps and since 4k TVs would be the norm, there won’t be any console wars at all as such like X1X vs Pro. -
Avengers sold more than Demon’s Souls - what a joke -
CU vs Frequency wars next
From what we are seeing, PS5 with higher frequency is always doing better on 120fps mode - is it attributable to higher frequency? -
First & foremost 6 vs 4 is a much bigger gap in terms of power percentage compared to 12 vs 10
I kinda feel sad I’m having to put together kindergarten level math here
Secondly TF as said numerous times before is not the only thing while judging performance
it’s just layman terms of calculating capabilities
But you use those capabilities also matters at the end of the day
Cerny opened up his keynote with this very statement
10 vs 12 may be too close.
But if we consider good PC GPUs, they have 60+ CUs and high frequencies more than PS5’s 2.2. PC GPUs are the most powerful and they are better on both fronts CUs and frequency, so they dominate all.
But XSX went with more CUs and PS5 went with more frequency. Which one is a “long term” better choice? There are other differences in hardware which are not given in standard spec sheets floating around the internet but do they matter?

Yes, 10 vs 12 is too close as compared to 4 vs 6.
Also, people took Cerny’s presentation for granted.
But looking back with new game performance comparisons, I absolutely enjoy watching Cerny’s presentation again and again. He’s a wizard of console hardware domain. -
It’s very simple.WTF X1X vs Pro or PS4 vs X1 had anything to do with PS5 vs XSX?!?all three comparisons are totally different era’s & machines
X1X was a much more expensive piece of hardware in comparison to Pro
how the *beep* you think it’s right to compare it with Hardwares launching day & date with same price tag
In X1X vs Pro era, X1X with 6 TF performed way better than Pro with 4 TF on multi-plat games.
When XSX with 12 TF and PS5 with 10 TF were announced, having seen X1X vs Pro performance gap, it was a fair assumption that XSX would perform better than PS5 because of more TFs.
This is a fair assumption for people like me who aren’t console hardware/software engineers.
But interestingly, PS5 with less TFs is performing better then XSX on multi-plats thanks to Cerny and team’s wizardry. That’s the limited point.
-
Atleast ppl like me don’t spew crap like “PS5 won’t be able to do Dynamic 4k @ 60fps” & “ SeriesX will do Native 4k @ 60fps”
you & your brethren’s spoke to much out loud way ahead of it’s time in every PS5 game thread taking information from university of Colteastwood
Your precious box is having to drop resolution way lower than PS5 to maintain 60fps in Valhalla now
atleast learn something about marketing gimmicks today
Cerny and his hardware team is to be praised for making a super console which punches above its “10 TF” weight.
Going by X1X vs Pro comparisons on many games and the wide performance chasm, it was a fair assumption that XSX should theoretically do better than PS5 because of higher TFs.

Ultimate edition??
It’s not the ultimate edition -
Yea because some of us have a life other than play video games all day. It's like I am arguing with a 5 year old.
Living a life then playing games then commenting here on console wars - that should be the priority. Somehow you are managing to spend your time on the 3rd one despite demands from the 1st two. -
They go together now
but 120fps(without VRR)screens have been out on the market for a much longer time
So chances are if you didn’t buy your monitor/TV just recently it’s missing VRR
Would it be correct to say that a large majority of console gamers would play on large TVs with 4k60fps rather than high refresh rate monitors?
Large TVs with high refresh refresh rates would be a small minority and currently 120fps is done with 1080p or less - such low resolutions won’t look good on large TVs.

Included Duracell AAs lasted around 10 days averaging 2 hours a day. I keep vibration on.
Cool thing is I just swapped them with my Eneloop rechargeable AAs and got instant full charge.
