After finishing this, I felt that Innocence was massively better than Requiem in story department. Innocence has an emotional impact and connection second only to TLOU 1, perhaps even equals it. In Requiem, especially in last half, Amicia’s actions felt so illogical and all her efforts so meaningless and actions yielding so little. I always felt distant from the whole story and not really connecting to protagonists’ efforts. Innocence felt like a worthwhile journey because triumph of good over evil. Meanwhile, Requiem - but visuals and voice acting are absolutely superb 8/10

I was supposed to finish the game tonight with only half hour or so remaining, when I got a 9gig update for the game and couldn’t play it. I tried to cancel the update but the whole game deleted ? Tried to install again, now it says download full 52gigs again. MF. I was so pissed off, I just watched the ending on YouTube. f**k off Xbox update system ?

I think you guys are playing performance mode which is causing this I will be playing Quality mode at 30fps in my 1st playthrough which is where PS5 visuals shine the most usually

This is really disappointing man, was expecting to be blown away by gfx 2018 is excellent but this is PS5 HFW looks miles better than HZD

Hfr + perf runs at 1440p max which would appear soft compared to perf without hfr which runs at around 1900p60

I had classic original trilogy button mapping for 2018 Square - light attack Triangle - heavy attack Circle - dodge I was able to beat base game, side quests and all Valkyries with this mapping on gmgow mode, so this has proven very effective. R1 is okay to be abused but I fear R2 would suffer heavily so face button for attacks are a good idea

You should do 2 playthroughs ideally I’ll be doing ‘give me a story’ or easiest difficulty in 1st go to roll credits asap without side quests because spoilers, then 2nd go I’ll do ‘give me god of war mode’ or the hardest one with all side quests

My recommendation for everyone HDMI 2.0 and 2.1 would be performance mode but without HFR and VRR. Without these 2, it would be locked 60fps and average 1872p which is good enough. But with HFR, it limits resolution to 1440p which might not be as sharp on big TVs as without HFR.

From DF tech review: My main complaint here is that the quality modes don't offer as much of a leap as I'd have liked. It feels like there's a ton of headroom and this mode would benefit from something like ray-traced shadows, which are very usable and fast on this class of AMD hardware. In its current form, however, it's tough to recommend the quality mode. also, Quality mode renders at a full native 4K while performance mode instead uses dynamic resolution scaling ranging from 1440p up to 2160p. On average, pixel counts reveal that it spends most of its time around 1872p. Moving into the 120Hz modes, the quality mode moves up to 40fps, with an 1800p to 2160p dynamic resolution window. And as expected, we're mostly looking at a performance between 80 to 90 frames per second in most scenarios. bottomline: They recommend performance mode on 60hz and 120hz displays both. No drastic benefit in quality mode.
