    The reason I accepted 30fps in the previous generation was because I wasn't offered a choice and when there was a choice, I'd pick Performance option all the way. I did so with Shadow of Tomb Raider, even with it's random frame drops, it still felt much smoother to control Lara than on the 30fps mode. Playing Horizon Zero Dawn now on 60fps, you can see how quick fast and accurate the Aloy's response is with her aiming and you'd be doing that 90% of the time unless you're a melee person. 

     

    For me the rule is simple, if it has the option, I'd pick performance over quality. So making blanket statements like above is not true unless it's your personal preference. 

    Bro it’s not a simple resolution reduction to gain 60fps

     

    visuals quality is also dropped down, for example, reflections on fps mode of PS5 in HFW is PS4 quality

     

    If you gave me only a drop in resolution without touching visual settings to get 60fps, I’ll take it

     

    example, Demon’s souls ps5 only dropped resolution to get 60fps, no other compromise. I played 60fps in that game

    never touch 60fps mode. You won’t know what you are missing but 30fps is still steady with good frame pacing which means it will feel smooth 

     

    on the flip side, best-est-est-est visuals of the game

     

    win win

     

    now, smart people with this trick would do the right thing and only play resolution mode

    Actually 60fps mode is a big lose-lose scenario. Here’s how

     

    30fps resolution mode - you get the best technology and visuals developed by the studio. I always play resolution mode with highest visuals quality for AAA games like HFW

     

    120fps mode - smoothest experience, makes 60fps feel janky and ? for example, I always play Halo Infinite at 120fps mode

     

    with 60fps, you neither get best visuals nor get smoothest fluid fps - a sad lose-lose scenario 

     

    it’s either 30fps best visuals or 120fps smoothness (or get a 2lakh+ PC)

     

    rest, you always end up losing on some aspect

    Resolution mode is 2160p with temporal injection technique as seen in Spider-Man: Miles Morales which means it will look super sharp without no aliasing. 

     

    while fps mode is 1800p with checkerboarding 

     

    which means resolution mode will look significantly sharper on large 4k TVs

     

    Being an image purist, I'll be playing on Resolution mode as the 30fps is almost locked and very smooth and since this isn't a reflex-based game, high frame rates like 60/120 are not needed  

     

    Reflections in PS5 Resolution mode are considerably better than in FPS mode. FPS mode reflections resemble PS4 quality. More reasons to go res mode

    Did the mistake of lowering the difficulty in HZD after I faced some tough machines… and eventually I lost the fun in combat and ended up one-hitting most of the machines to complete the story. 

    The Frozen Wilds dlc is very hard on ultra hard :fear1:

    Yeah, I am pretty excited for the ps5 vs ps4 breakdown

     

    some said it was built ground up for ps5 and scaled down to ps4 

     

    would love to know what is the additional magic that ps5 adds or ps4 still punches above its weight 

     

    this aspect was discussed for months

    I played and beat Give me god of war mode in my 1st playthrough and it was extremely enjoyable, that's why I am recommending. It also maximizes your playtime and there's no other game you'd want max playtime for than this GoW

    You should play on Give me God of War mode difficulty. Since you started today only, you need to replay only a tiny bit again. This mode will make it massively more enjoyable

    You should actually focus on BR accuracy, strafe and movement skills and map and other players awareness and keeping a cool head always, in ranked. Forgot gaining ranks at this stage, just practice ranked 

     

    once you develop requisite skills, you’ll move up automatically and it will be a pleasure 

     

    for example, I am practising on solo/duo. When I have Onyx level skills, I’ll play my Diamond crossplay ranked and advance the ranking further
