Eneloops are very well known to last years on end. They are rated for 2100 charge-discharge cycles. If you recharge them twice a week (for  a heavy gamer), that equates to about 100 cycles in an year. 

The Eneloop Pros have a larger capacity 2500mAh but they're rated for 500 cycles - which is still great considering more capacity = lesser cycles

That was me on Reddit lol and thankfully didn't cancel it then or the 2 times I was called afterwards as well. Finally, I have it today.
