  1. Just placed an order for 55" Sony x9000h at Croma after a lot of hunting for stock. It will still take around a week to be delivered. Actual cost is around 105k, but I am also getting:

15k cash back in 90 days
15k for my TCL tv that is 3 years old
    12k income tax rebate

Seems pretty cheap! But I have to wait for the delivery and installation.

Arre koi nahi... upar wale ne daant diye hai toh khaana bhi dega. Kidney and drinks analogy also can be used sparingly :D

Happy Gaming on the OLED goodness. I can't even imagine how god-awesome GOT would look on it

Haha sahi bole bhai! GOT should look great except for that one god awful episode in the last season where everything was super dark. That won't be fun to watch ?

Congrats, how much was the final landing cost ?

Damn, that's sad.. we all got 3 years during Diwali.. I don't think its worth it as we were also getting 4th and 5th year for 23K

The final cost of the tv is 1.28L via Amazon. Also, I re-checked with Amazon and LG and it looks like I get 1+2 warranty as well! Phew. Sorry for the misinformation. Looks like the warranty offer is valid till 31st Jan 2021 for LG OLED TVs.

Even CX is useless in a brightly lit room. It practically becomes a mirror in bright conditions. Get good light blocking curtains if you don't have them already and that should suffice.

Tv got delivered on Sunday and installed today. The brightness is sufficient for me. I might change the window curtains but that'd not really needed for now. Another thing is I am getting only one year warranty on the tv. Extended warranty for 3 yrs is being charged at 50k! ? Is it worth taking it up for that price?

Good choice was going to suggest BX. Just 1 thing BX doesn't get bright enough even on SDR content so adjust the room setup accordingly.

The 50inch Version does not have 120hz. 55 and 65 have it along with VRR

I've read about the SDR brightness issues in multiple places. Planning to first use the tv and check if I need to make changes in my living room setup.

How much are 55" OLED going for these days?

LG oled for 55" are priced around 1.30L for cx and bx. But I'm resisting buying OLED TVs coz of burn-in issues and lack of warranty on burn in issues (based on what I'm reading in this thread?) and out of budget at those prices.
