Series S is best value system after price increase of other systems. You can get it for 25k or so. And games look beautiful on it.

Finally got it? I am waiting for Series S version of PS5. This is to convince regulators. Both companies make games in different genres so how to compare them? Sony has no online shooters or survival games or Wrpgs.

It's related to team quality. Some years ago, studios used to say they have their A-team working on game. So it's a A game. Which used to mean best possible at that time. Then eventually they started adding A's to emphasize that.

Then how come I played two games back to back from them? Just saw Stray won Best PS game award at GJS. If that's the best PS has to offer then I have to say PS has no games.

Finished Pentiment. Great experience. It did some new unique things that coupled with fantastic writing made it very good. It's a niche within a niche (historical text based rpg) and well worth playing if you like such games.

Lord Gaben will never forgive for this. It's one thing to down play achievements of Lord Phil, but Lord Gaben? Seriously?

Again, personal opinion and all. Doom Eternal it's music still plays in my head, after all this time of playing it. Not saying it deserves most awards, that would be TLOU 2 cause its made on a template that wins awards. But it and Half Life Alyx deserve some recognition. Cyberpunk winning more awards than these two is kinda wild and make me doubt credibility of GOTY awards.

Game is looking great. Remnant vibes. Will pick up on sale. Wish it was 3+ player coop and had crossplay.

I think you will burn out if you try to 100% any given area. They are filled with samey, repetitive puzzles. Best, most elaborate puzzles are obviously in kept for main story. Just explore enough to upgrade your gear, then move to main quest. But honestly, if you are not enjoying character chatter, I would suggest you drop it, cause I found it to be best part of the game. Aphrodite talks like a POS who would make fun of basically anything you do. From your clothes to hairstyle to work-out you are doing. Likewise, all other gods had distinct personalities which I enjoyed. Outside of that, game is good too but maybe I would rather play something like Assasins Creed Odeyssey.

This applies to every game ever made. Especially to Elden Ring and GOW R this year. Besides DE gameplay loop is nothing like 2016 version. HL Alyx being VR title is just pointless excuse and reduce their credibility.

Doom Eternal is best shooter ever made. Definitely deserves GOTY atleast from some outlets. Lemme show you what non sense happened in 2020. Look at Half Life Alyx. Not talking about TGAs but in general. Where are awards for Doom Eternal, Dishonoured 2, Prey etc? It's not just about winning awards. You can be great without them as well.

They make best games out there. None of the good studios win GOTY these days. It is becoming like music industry. So much varied and creative work is being done but Taylor Swift wins those awards.
