OT2 is announced for all platforms except one. So there's no moneyhatting involved, they just chose not to bother with Xbox port. This idea that MS/Phil needs to pay them to port these games to Xbox needs to change, and only way it'll change is if more people bought JPN games on Xbox.

Try launching mainstream stuff like Final Fantasy 7 R.

Octopath I haven't tried but run of the mill jrpgs are not very appealing.

Tried Tales of Arise after hearing so much praise here. Cannot complete games like these.

Will perhaps buy Crisis Core though.

I had hoped they would show something new. But the show was mostly/just about gamepass only. Nothing that we dont know about.

I guess days of Japanese xbox exclusives (Otogi series) are over. Its mostly about the service (Gamepass) now.

    I was expecting more.

When was the last time you were satisfied with an xbox conference?

  3. This needs to have good activities and gameplay loop. Need a decent budget.

I think a well made Japanese game like this is much more preferable to Western doopelgangers.

But sadly it won't compete with them due to low budget most probably.

It's not. It's a full priced title with no micro-transactions that I know of. Also, why would it be stupid of Nintendo? They can always launch a sequel 3-4 years down the line.

    Micro transactions?

What it has to do with being a GAAS title?

A lot of updates are offered for free by a lot of developers.

I had a discussion before, PPL were tying monetization with GAAS. Which I didn't understand.

All your contexts, statements etc are extremely vague.

How do you define entertainment value? Do you feel games like returnal, Spiderman, RnC, GoT, HFW etc are "lesser in entertainment value" than Nintendo's offerings.

Who cares about what you have "noticed". Any simple research will tell you that sony (as on 2022) is indeed the biggest gaming company, no matter whatever you try to peddle here.

    Nice ...

That's too bad I guess. Nintendo is the number 1 video game company in most parts of the world. Especially in their biggest markets North America and Europe. And adults are their biggest consumers more than kids. So Nintendo definitely knows a thing or two on what makes a good game.

Anyone who thinks Nintendo is for kids are missing out on some of the best gaming experiences available.

Bowser has very nice collection (congratulations btw).

But he has more Wii U s then there are games on the system.

So we need someone "reasonable" to make this assessment.

I moved to a new house and completely revamped the game room compared to the previous one I posted last year! I've come a long way since I started this thread 5 years ago. It's been a fun journey. Met lots of people along the way.

I think this is my final setup. No energy to go beyond this. Gaming on a 120" screen with 5.1 speakers is really something else.

The room is closed with no windows. Proper man cave :D
