Thanks man. The speakers (LT Series) and sub (UFW-10) are from a boutique, internet only manufacturer in the US (av123.com). Got them all when we returned to Bangalore in 2005. The HT room came into being in Jan 2007 only... had to renovate our house before we could set this up.

Thanks again. Yes, the entertainment unit was custom designed and made in house. My cousin is an architect and he designed it. Birch veneer over MDF.

Thanks... 360 is nowhere on the horizon. You should have seen the hoops I jumped through before my wife agreed to let me buy the PS3
The LCD was purchased about a year ago - 92K. Its the Bordeaux Art line of Samsung. It is not quite HDTV (HD ready - 1080i only)

Got the PS3 40GB today along with a DS3 controller and a 250GB HDD. Immediately upgraded the hard disk to 250 GB. (Stuck the 40GB into a external HDD enclosure.) Connected the PS3 to the AV receiver (Denon 2805) via TOSLink and to Samsung 40" LCD via HDMI. Speakers include 5 bookshelves (60Hz to 22KHz @ 87dB) and the sub is a 500 W monster that goes up to 105dB SPL.
End result: My spleen could feel the guns in MGS4.
