This game has the best combat system of all time in my opinion. I've never played a FromSoftware game, and I put down Sekiro multiple times throughout my walkthrough of the game. Every time I'll be thinking of uninstalling the game, in the corner of my mind I'll be thinking maybe if I do this or do that, then maybe I'll be able to beat whatever boss was giving me trouble at the time, and I will actually go on to do it. Very few games have had as much impact on me. That adrenaline rush when you are low on health and the boss is also low on health, and you get to hit that final strike, it was a very new experience in gaming for me. I remember fighting the lightning dude (its been 2 years, forgive my memory) in the beginning and thinking, yeah, obviously this dude can't be beat at this point, I am sure he's a tool for the narrative, and then on my second walk through I actually went on beat him on the only try you get but it was not a easy fight per se. But then on my third walkthrough, I beat this dude like a rented mule. This blew my mind. Beating a boss flawlessly, one who you thought was impossible at first, with nothing but the power of experience and skill backing you instead of power ups or consumables. Even now two years after I've been away from gaming, there's only one game that I fantasize about playing.
