So who blew the horn?
Kratos.

Yep. That and Darlings have been stellar Hindi movies to watch this year. I'd rate them as this year's best Hindi movies. Amazingly, both by Netflix.

So, I'm sure this has a proper end credits scene (like the previous game), but does anyone know what triggers it?
I've reached the first credits (partial credits like it was the last game after spreading Faye's ashes) but not sure about the proper final credits.

Just completed the quest - Faro's tomb in the game and with all the hooplah around twitter going on right now, couldn't help but kept picturing Elon Musk for Ted Faro in my mind as i listened to Faro's audio logs in the quest
Even before the Twitter episode, everyone pictured him... Lol!

Done with the game... A brilliant experience overall, in all aspects compared to the first game... The scale and scope is much more grand in this and I love the way they've crafted the story. Brilliant!
Off to the spoiler thread in a bit. There is just sooooooo much to discuss!

Horizon: Forbidden West had literally messed up every other game, when it comes to NPC interaction in open-world games. It's god-tier...
...and this just looks bad.
Liked the overall showcase, though. They seem to have capitalised on the lore in a very nice and detailed way. The combat looked okay. Will need to see more. I'm hyped for this...

How are the dual sense features??
The adaptive triggers aren't used that well, and not so much during gameplay (I'm using the default R1/R2 controls) at all. Used sporadically here and there outside of gameplay. Only when chopping up obstacles with the Leviathan Axe to clear the path ahead.
The haptic feedback is pretty decent, actually.
For example, the vibration on the left half or the right half of the controller corresponds to the side of the boat Kratos rows. Kinda neat, if you ask me.

@SuperT: About the turning back thing, I came across Sunhi's video on Twitter. Check 0:21 and 0:37.
So, I asked and one random person replied. I am yet to try it, though, but if it works, it'll just make my experience so much better.

Everyone underwhelmed with the visuals, wait till you reach Asgard.
On a different note, I'm about 14 hours in now and the experience has only gotten better. I love the fact that this is not simply Kratos' story. All the other important side characters have pretty significant existences within the game and it's crafted so beautifully into the main story itself. Love it!
Also, the boss fights...
motherofgod.gif
The 2018 game was pathetic when it came to the variety of boss fights, but this one... My, oh my! Truly mind-boggling... Have loved every boss fight, so far.
A couple of gripes that I have:
- I'm playing on 'Prefer Image Quality' with HFR 'on.' No way for me to check, but it's easily at 40+ FPS, for the most part. There are a handful of instances (mostly when strolling around at Sindri's House) where it has dropped to 30 FPS. A minor issue, especially for me, since FPS drops don't matter to me much.
- This second one is, I hate to say it, but it seems like a flaw in the combat design, IMO.
Hear me out here: In the 2018 game, there was a button to quickly turn around. This game doesn't have that. It's simply gone. And that results in some irritatingly pathetic combat sections, especially when against a horde of enemies. Also, before anyone thinks, it's not a 'git gud' situation, it simply is an unnecessary challenge that shouldn't have existed in the first place...
If there was an in-game counter to find out which direction has the 'killing blow' come from, the one that has killed my character, it'll be 'from behind' for me, for sure. It's frustratingly sad.
A solution that my mind can think of is to at least have the camera draw a bit out during combat... Would've made things miles better, I feel.

All the uncles getting revived in this thread.
Prioritisation people. That's the name of the game. I'm married, too.
Wife was given a 'notice' about a month in advance. Thankfully, the nature of my work allows me to finish things in advance, so I kinda slogged over the last 2 weeks to ensure that I have this week relatively free. Just have about 30 minutes of work everyday.
I should be done with the game this weekend. The feeling of finishing the game in the first few days is magical!

Meh, I'm only kidding... Play at your own pace, guys... But, my only suggestion to everyone is that please don't rush through it, just to get over the story or whatever. Relish it! It's truly a work of art, this game.

Played a little over 6 hours and what an experience already! The visuals, the gameplay, everything is top-notch...
Can't wait to wake up at noon and continue further... Proper gaming bliss!

The Sony Center in Malad, Mumbai is taking orders for the CE.
He just called me and asked me if I wanted it. The tentative delivery date is the 15th of November. Only CE orders being taken. MRP is ₹13,500 (I think that's what he said
). Very, very limited stock allocated to him. No stock of Jötnar Edition allocated to him, apparently.
I'm not going ahead with it, but if anyone wants, I can share his number via PM. If he can spare a unit for you, please feel free to confirm with him.
Disclaimer: Not affiliated to him or his store in any way. Also, no guarantees if he can't hold a unit for you.

Let me just say this, if anyone is still a fan of the old GoW games, and they even didn't particularly like the 2018 game, they might just borderline start a campaign against this game, considering the things you see Kratos do.
