  1. Microsoft's Mysterious Initiative Studio Hires Crystal Dynamics, Bungie Alumni Among the 16 new hires revealed on LinkedIn by studio head Darrell Gallagher, we can see that Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Marvel's Avengers director Remi Lacoste has made the jump to The Initiative to work as an Experiental Director. Destiny 2 narrative lead Christine Thompson has also joined the studio in a lead writer position. We're yet to learn what the studio is working on, with our latest clue arriving from Xbox head Phil Spencer, who revealed The Initiative is "challenging themselves to do new things (and old things) in new ways,", whatever that means. Microsoft revealed it had founded The Initiative in Santa Monica as part of its E3 2018 conference, where it announced a slew of acquisitions. The studio is being led by Darrell Gallagher, who previously worked at Rockstar Games, Crystal Dynamics and later Activision, overseeing the development of games like GTA IV, Tomb Raider and Destiny 2. At the time, Spencer touted Gallagher's abilities, calling him a "visionary storyteller." According to Santa Monica job listings found on the Microsoft website later that year, the studio was calling for experience in "shipping high quality titles at AAAA standards" and a "knowledge and understanding of the process of building new IP." The studio went on to hire God of War lead producer Brian Westergaard and Christian Cantamessa, who was the lead writer on Red Dead Redemption. The 'AAAA' studio then picked up Sunset Overdrive director Drew Murray. ------------------------- ------------------------- Like @CarbonCore said above, Edit: Sorry, forgot to link the source: https://www.ign.com/articles/initiative-microsoft-xbox-series-x-exclusive-bungie-crystal-dynamics
  2. Kinda sad. Should show up in 'New' right at the start. Also, the search is Bichaara had to type the entire name and even then it was buried under some other results.
  3. Really wanted to post this in the XSX thread, but didn't want to get banned or whatever. https://i.imgur.com/Q510QAi.gifv
  4. Just saw that trailer. Anyone else think it's kinda misleading, considering how the game *actually* is. I haven't played the beta but have seen playthroughs of it on YT. The trailer is cut in a way to showcase only the cutscenes, which make it seem like a proper single-player, story-driven, and campaign-focused game. Ah, I'm just ranting, I guess. Casuals will certainly look at that trailer and buy the game, only to be disappointed later.
  5. I lol'd. Just HITMAN-things...
  6. Yeah, I'm not sad to see AMN go, but I hope we have a replacement/plan in place. He has played quite a lot of games for us this season. Even started in crucial matches. Just selling and not filling that void would not be the best decision. I have a feeling we might sign someone then, for that position. Let's see...
  7. Interesting. Could be true. Seems legit, mostly. A full $100 more *just* for the Blu-ray drive seems excessive, IMO. Especially in 2020. I am obviously inclined towards getting the regular PS5 (with the disc-drive), but $100 seems too much, especially if we consider the Indian market and the prices we end up getting consoles at (especially at launch).
  8. Apparently, AMN is on his way out, too. So, ??‍♂️
  9. Kinda funny, but it still feels good!
  10. Played completely blind in my first playthrough and got the not-so-satisfying ending. 68 hours. Good game overall, however, the experience was marred a little bit due to the ending. Read the next part only if you have finished the game at least once:
  11. A good half overall. Expecting more of the same open game in the second half.
  12. I meant in the opening moments of the trailer. News reporters saying things like: "there's an explosion", "there's a lot of debris", "Bruce Wayne is..." And to add to it, Bruce's video being played at the start to confirm that he's dead and there's a message for the other heroes. It's only until then that I felt that it would be in the Arkhamverse. Not when I saw Bat-Girl or Mr. Freeze later on.
  13. What's funny is that SS is set in the Arkhamverse, but GK is not. Slightly weird, I think. I could've sworn while watching the reveal trailer of GK that it follows the events of Arkham Knight.
  14. Yeah, it'll be weird with the storyline, though, I guess. In Joker, Bruce is a kid. Now in The Batman, it's Batman's second year, so Phoenix would have to be aged significantly to make sense, timeline-wise. Of course, they can always say that The Batman is set in a different universe and Phoenix is just The Joker there. What they could also do is show some other guy who's become The Joker, inspired by Phoenix's whole 'chaos' at the end of that movie.
  15. Here it is: Some more details I heard while watching Reeves at the panel: - Year Two Batman. It'll be evident that he's still trying new things and iterating as he grows throughout the movie. - The Riddler is the main villain (seems like it). - Oswald Cobblepot is not The Penguin yet. In fact, he doesn't like being called that. - Selina Kyle is not Catwoman yet. She's in the process of becoming Catwoman. - The movie is only 25%-30% done, so quite a way to go. Edit: Also, Basically Gotham PD (HBO Max series) will be more of a Year One of Batman, but with a focus on the POV of the police department of Gotham, and especially a particular character (unnamed as of now) who tries to cope with the corruption and the appearance of The Batman. It will also be a "battle for his soul."
  16. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League - Can be played as solo or multiplayer co-op (2-4 players). - Set in the Arkhamverse. Basically after the events of Arkham Knight. (technically, Batman shouldn't be there, then). - Releasing on PS5, XSX, and PC in 2022. - Takes place in open world Metropolis. - Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot & Captain Boomerang playable. Can switch between characters.
  17. About to start now. https://www.dcfandome.com/live Hope Rocksteady can surprise us.
  18. Black Adam is just too early in pre-production. They showed two teasers which did not even have a single second of footage. They were mere animated cutscenes (with concept art), like the ones you see when you finish a tower in Mortal Kombat. ? The first video shows the history of Black Adam, in a nutshell. And the second shows some of the other heroes that will be present in the movie, from the JSA, Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Cyclone, and Atom Smasher.
  19. Yeah, and going by the teaser, I feel characters like The Flash and Cyborg will get some proper moments and not just be like fillers, unlike how they kinda ended up being in the theatrical release.
  20. Things Zack confirmed during DC FanDome: - Will be released in 4 parts. 1 hour each. There will also be an option to watch it completely. - International users who don't have HBO Max, a distribution plan is being worked on and more details will be shared later. - Releasing in 2021. ----- I liked the teaser. Also, unless HBO Max launches in India, I guess the movie might end up in Amazon Prime Video in India, just like most of the other WB movies.
