Ok So I bought a new DVD drive as the previous one was driving me nuts with its problems.
What I want to do now is use the old DVD drive in my old Xbox as the drive of that one is broken. I am following this tutorial
http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/swap-dvd.php
I have everything under control except step 2 ie how to set the DVD drive to slave mode? Cant quite find a good explanation via google either. Any ideas?
put the jumper into the middle pins, that will change the drive into slave mode.

Athek spells out my thoughts
as for the mobo - i would suggest the ASUS p5q deluxe , brilliant mobo, managed to get e8600 to 4950mhz.. couldnt touch 5ghz!
, the damned ram wouldnt go further and i didnt wanna increase the voltage.running 4.4 Ghz 24/7.
on another machine, the vanilla p5q with the e2180 is @ 3.5Ghz 24/7.
what cooling u r using dude?

corded headphones have superior detail and a clearer overall sound..
-
Guys, I wanted to know whether The Sennheiser RS130 Headphones are good. Reviews everywhere state they're pretty darn good. I'm not a hardcore audiophile, decently great sound is what I'm looking for, without the cables
Their range of headphones are favored by many of the worlds' leading DJs.
and u expect what?
-
oops my bad!!
imo, stay away from MSI.
also, the dq6 costs around 16k last time i asked, dont be surprised if the price has gone up due to the dollar.
where r u from?
whats the problem with msi?
-
Just have a doubt, does that mobo support DDR2 ram cause I was checking on it and some sites say it supports only DDR3 while others say that it supports both.Any other motherboards I should be looking for other than this.
Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 (ddr2)
Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6 (ddr2+ddr3)
MSI X48C Platinum (ddr2+ddr3)
-
intel x48 is not THAT worth it
better than that is the gigabyte x48-ds5 or the asus p5q deluxe.
I said chipset not brand.

-
Thx for the suggestion guys(Keep them coming if you have any more since I got 1 whole day to wait),Also should I buy extra fans and any good cabinets to look for.
