Yeah, only at that specific part. I always do full shutdown so that should not be an issue. Will try re-installing.

Does anyone else see a crash in gears 2 campaign? I have this kinda game breaking crash which happens when I'm in the  Act 3 displacement chapter, fighting on the boats. It always freezes up there with a weird audio stuck in a loop and there's no way out than to restart the game. When I restart, it goes to the beginning of the chapeter as well instead of a checkpoint in between. I replay for 15 minutes or so to get to the same stage and then it freezes up again.

I have like 3 games running in parallel for over a week now. And I shut down in the power saver mode (not instant on).

It works even across full shutdown. I do a full shutdown every time since it's so quick to boot up anyways.

 

In other news, started Gears 2 and this campaign seems much better than Gears 1.

Probably a very unpopular opinion, and hope I'm wrong as I play more but:

I completed Gears of war UE and also played a bit of halo reach. Both games seemed so uninspired/boring to me. Halo doesnt seem to evoke much feeling at all. Gears is a bit better. But both are a by-the-numbers kind of shooters. Pretty much same thing over and over without much of a "progression". Wasnt even inclined to finish gears but did somehow.

 

Will play a newer version of gears and much more of halo and then see if the above opinion still holds.

eneloops are meant for that. My earliest ones are from 2004 (around 10 of them) which still hold more than their advertised capacity.

This one was a false positive. FK is changing their site intermittently which is causing bot to think it's in stock. Added a change which should hopefully work better.

Yeah I think by the time the console breaks, new ones should be readily available. Plus the advantage being that you can either get a newer model, or at least one that has minor improvements in factory process/components etc for the issues seen in the first phase.

Hardwired too but family room has chromecast and range isnt fully there. Also hate repeaters.

You should look at ubiquiti. That's the top of the line hardware for networks. Works with wired as well as wireless backhaul. 

My network is built around ubquiti components and it never gives me an issue. Full speed everywhere.

Yeah, oil quantity wise it definitely works as advertised and reduces it by quite a whole lot. But yes, the whole rigmorale of using it and then cleaning it later ensured that it gets used only after some deliberations and calculations around how much time we have

Had a blast playing Shadow of War, the small issues didn't bother me much. Enjoyed the first one and felt this was a major step up compared to that.

Graphics update, the story, fluid gameplay, the characters, nemesis system were all positive.

 

Couple of things I disliked:

Fighting too many enemies at once and Talion tends to grab the wrong one, gets annoying.

True ending is only possible after completing some big sieges, and can get grindy if you don't strategize.(However, True ending gives a proper send off to Talion, very satisfying)

I found it better than Assassin's creed games btw. And ..

FWIW I played several hours of shadow of war on base PS4. I didn't feel any frame drops/stutters etc. The movement was a bit janky though like adity said (protagonist goes in different directions sometimes than where i want to, sometimes has a lag in action, sometimes doesn't do the right action at all, e.g. trying to climb resulted in a roll instead many times during a fight). But otherwise performance wise I didn't feel any issues. It's an average game if you don't have much else to play and find the nemesis mechanics fun.
