The XSX box had a significant dent on one end as well, but likely not from the Amazon shipping since the outer box was undamaged.

Thankfully things are very well stuffed inside.

For me the XSX box was intact but the outer brown box was basically just hanging on to its life by its last threads. Was fully of bumped-in holes, tape almost torn, almost nil paper inside. For a moment I thought whether I should return it then and there, but then realized that means no XSX for a long time :P So took the risk assuming I will lay it onto msft/amazon later on if something goes amiss.

Thanks a lot. Yes, the price is showing as 58K as of now, which is a bit much for no warranty. Will check it later to see if it drops down.

I found someone claiming to be GamesNGadget in RR Nagar on OLX, and they have it for sale for 55K - need to check if this is flat price or some exchange. Will give them a call as I have dealt with similarly named shop in Jayanagar in the past.

If you buy from that shop, buy in person not online. They have facebook bombarded with too many weird offers and fake photos so not too sure if they are legit.

The download speeds are plain bad. Not the console's fault seems more like a cdn issue. Try changing the DNS at the console level to see which one gives you the better of the shitty speeds. For me cloudflare blows donkey balls although on the PS5 I get full gigabit. Using Google DNS on the SX as that's the only one that atleast touches/crosses 200mbps

Yeah, I have a switching DNS network wide that selects between google and cloudflare automatically based on latency. Currently it is on google already.

  4. BTW, downloads on this thing are slowwww (which was sort of expected as I read in this thread, but still it hits bad when you see it happening in flesh :|). Never crosses above 200 and fluctuates a lot. Also doesn't download things simultaneously, only one by one (or am I missing something?). This situation seems to be pre-PS3 :|

Question: For gears, I need to download gears ultimate edition and then rest of the 2/3/4/5 separately, right? Nothing like the MCC here?

i saw some reviews on youtube where it doesnt switchover fast enough and the console shuts down. So in that case its completely pointless.

The switchover time for APC models is good enough. It's provided in their specs as well and it is much less compared to the PS power supply hold time. In case you see this, it will be a bug not a feature, you can report it to APC customer support and they will fix it. APC support is among the best in India.

Guys where i live the power supply is sh*t, frequent disconnections and dips in voltage. I think I will need a UPS fro the PS5 when it comes. Any suggestions? Not keen to spend too much. I dont need a long battery life, just good enough quality that the device doesnt shut down abruptly. I checked a few, APC 600 doesnt seem to work for even ps4 pro. If you know of a model that has worked for you let me know

What do you mean by "APC 600 doesn't seem to work"? Trips up? Or not fast enough switchover?

I've used various APC UPS for my base PS4 and switchover time is good enough. Are you connecting other things as well to it along with pro? In that case, wattage of a 600 VA UPS won't be enough.

I’m with you. I’ve bought three years of GPU purely betting on future potential, but like you, it’s probably down to my specific taste in games.

+1 I think I like only gears series + maybe 1 or 2 games here or there (There are 3-4 others that I like but I've already played them on PS).

But GP was so cheap that I think I'll break even, even if I get 1 game an year from it.

Thanks. So hugo looks like has huge base of templates too. Now how is it is to install on a linux server with no root access. Can it be installed via browser (Like prestasop or opencart) . Sorry im kinda noob at this stuff.

yeah, so hugo doesn't need any installation on the server per se. It will generate the html files offline and you just need any webserver to serve those html files. In my case, I write my blogs in markdown, then a script in github actions generates the html files and then github serves those html files. You can either just keep hugo on your PC, generate the html files and upload them to the server, or you can run it on the server directly (no root required, it's a single binary that runs as normal user) and serve the files from there.

    Hello

So i just happened to register noobgaming.in domain, where im planning to write maybe game reviews upload some boss fights, maybe unboxing and funny clips montage.

First things first this is a side hobby so earning money is the last thing to do, also i only needed domain as i already have really good hosting for my ecom website so expense is also nil.

So what i need in the website is following.

    1) A section for reviews

    2) A gallery (Directly accessible from home page) with Screenshot albums of different game

    3) Video gallery too

I have some experience with blogger back in the day but now out of touch?
What do you think will be the best for above things? Wordpress or anything else?

If cost is not an issue, then the only questions you are left out with are:

    - Features

    - Setup time

    - Maintenance

For feature set, wordpress is your best bet here. It will serve all your needs above either natively or through plugins. Since your needs are quite simple, you can also look at a static site generator, e.g. hugo (My blog https://shantanugoel.com is generated via hugo and hosted on github). A static site is much faster, much lighter on resources, zero security considerations and maintenance needs. This basically helps you focus only on the content and not worry about anything else.

But since you have an ecom website already, I guess wordpress may not be that much of a burden on you anyways, so you should start with that and then look for other things in case you feel something off/missing.
