    Google to abandon Android. Spin off separate company

     

    Now, this is mind blowing. I’ve just talked to a pretty reliable source within the Android ranks of Google that Google is going to distance itself legally from Android and spin it off in a separate company. The source said that the move can happen very soon and may be announced at Google I/O conference in May. Although details are sketchy and only very few high profile folks know about it within Google, my source says that the probable reason is increasing worries about legal aspects of Android with respect to Patents and IP law suits. Google also doesn’t want to be held responsible by any of the OEMs using Android when they are targeted by these law suits. So, they arrived at this decision to create a win-win situation where the new company will still be handed over instructions from MountainView through back channels but liabilities of the company are going to be very limited because they will show zero or no earnings at all.

    hey how to get the ESPN HD channel ?? am using airtel HD set top box.

    whom to call ? how much is it for ? how will the payment be made ? we have already paid for an yearly package

    no use buying espn hd. ESPN HD is shut down now. The finals will be shown on Star Cricket HD, so buy that. I think you can activate it by calling cust care and topping up extra amount in your account.

    Why would I hear it from the neighbour's place? Are you nuts? :ko: I don't pause the feed cos I can't and I'm always back before the half/1-minute break ends, so I see it all live anyway :doh:

     

    dude, i was talking about forced ads.. I remember distinctly that non-hd channels were showing an Ad when the Yuvi wicket fell..

    Question is, would you dare pause the ball if you were watching a live broadcast... what happens if a crucial wicket falls and you have to watch it delayed by a few minutes :P Would you rather hear about it first from the collective "ooohhh" that goes up from the neighbour's place?

    But you are forced to hear it from the ohhhh from neighbour's place :P

    btw yes I do pause live match. e.g during the ind-pak match, I got an imp. call from China for a few minutes. I paused the match and talked to the guy. Meanwhile a wicket fell and I was able to watch it easily by just f.fwding through the last 5 minutes in 30 seconds and then caught up to live as well :good:

     

    Edit: Forgot to mention that the HD feed is also slightly ahead of the normal feed as I noticed.. :P

    Well I don't have to pay nearly as much as for a HD set top box / connection , so yeah I'd rather wait a ball to see it, and use the ad break to go do something else :giggle:

    We can also pause any ball and do anything else whenever we want :P

     

    It won't be long before they start sneaking ads into HD broadcasts too, just give it a few years.

    Gentleman's game and Australia in one sentence ? Aussies are the best in sledging :lol:

    +1 and they keep that same attitude off the field as well.. I feel that most australian players are disgusting in nature, especially Ponting is nauseating...Brett Lee is one of the better guys they have who is an excellent player and a humble human being.
