    Yeah, it doesn't seem to have caught this. Not sure why but it has kept reading that it's out of stock. Can you confirm the url once where it was available? Maybe that's changed. If anyone gets a chance to take a screenshot of the page when it's in stock, that will be helpful.

    This is not a relevant take. MSFT as an org made that profit, not the gaming division/BU. Anyone with a big org knows that the overall revenues/profits do not mean that any particular division can just take any part of it as it needs. Unlike pure gaming companies, it is harder for gaming divisions of big multi-division companies to get a piece of the pie. And if the org doesn't make enough profits (not even loss, they have to show good profits and they've to be on a upward trajectory yoy, not stagnant).

    Not saying that MSFT's gaming division is not on that path, but that this particular take doesn't make much sense. MSFT may be making 10 times as much profit and it may still lead to axing of the gaming division if it doesn't perform on its own. (Remember how the devices division went down some time ago with a similar fate).

    I think you have a serious problem with being opinionated. People have different expectations and as long as it doesn't affect your life, please keep those opinions to yourself. 

    Also, I don't have a problem with them not delivering on launch day (would prefer if they do, but not a deal breaker). At least as far as my XSX order was concerned, it had already shipped by this time. Sony is doing a piss poor job with setting expectations and it's annoying. 
     

    +1 to this. I'm excited even to get a new screwdriver that i ordered asap, and this is a PS5. Different people have different expectations for the same thing, and it's not "westernised" to hope that a pre-ordered console gets delivered on launch day. I'd have been very eager to get it on launch day as well if I didn't have the XSX, and even now it will be pleasant if it happened.

    If anything, our expectations are actually lesser than what they should be because sellers take us for granted. The feeling is almost as if they are doing us a favor by letting us buy things.

    Is it really pushing 2n pixels? Seems like it's still pushing n pixels but decreasing the quality of each half to fit the full scene into n/2 pixels.

    Edit: I expect to ultimately have both PS5 and XSX, so it doesn't matter which I buy first.

    No guarantees for either strategy, except try for both (like go to chroma and also ask someone to try ordering online as well, or maybe you do that while standing in queue at chroma :P )

    I don't think so. There are ~800 people in my notifier channel alone. And the article reads like a good amount of stock will go to offline retailers. Plus, Nadella commented in the quarterly report that most of 2021 will continue to see shortages. ergo, people need to be quick.

    It isn't noticeably blurry :P I've been playing on base PS4 on my 4k tv for a long time. If one gets used to 4k gaming on tv and then goes back to 1080p, then probably yeah (but not always and easily).

    Or it could just be that I'm old with a bad eyesight.

    I think XSS will continue for at least 4 years (maybe more), with just limitations like lower fps and at 720p/1080p (and some other graphics fidelity features turned off).

    Solely considering that the comparison is only between 1X and XSS (1S doesn't make any sense at all), not PS vs xbox ecosystem (because the person really wants to be in xbox ecosystem, or already has a PS5 as well), then if they are new to the xbox ecosystem (or upgrading from the base xbox), XSS is a better investment than 1S/1X. It comes with a better chance at newer games in next 2-4 years and brings in a lot of QoL improvements (faster boot, faster loading, quick resume, less heat), etc.

    My favorite games out of the collection are TLOU, P5 and GoW. You should probably start with either TLOU or GoW since P5 is a huge time sink so you can keep playing that for quite some time. Out of TLOU and GoW, if you are looking for a more story based experience then TLOU should be first, otherwise if you are looking more for action, then GoW.

    vacuum cleaners have come a long way in past 5-8 years. They are pretty good now for all surfaces to replace brooms now. My roborock s5 max does much better job than we were doing with a broom. The mopping is semi decent (good enough for daily cleaning unless there's a big mess), but there's another robot from ilife which is dedicated for mopping and that's pretty amazing as well. The regular electric vacuum cleaners also have pretty good attachments now specifically for hard surfaces.

    Yeah 360 S9 is a good model as well. Another good one is ecovacs t8. /r/robotvacuums is a nice place for more info and discussions about these. Also see vacuum wars channel on youtube. But most importantly, don't go by the specs as there's a lot riding on the design of these cleaners and even the ones with lesser specs trump the ones with more in many cases. If you want to play safe, you won't go wrong with roborock as that's one of the most recommended ones everywhere. If you are buying one now, I'd suggest to wait a bit for roborock S7 if you can, which has much better mopping and also introduces auto emptying to roborock line.
