    I doubt most big hedge funds could have cleared shorts with the small amount of selling. Most selling was triggered by algos, and it is mostly the same set of funds who sell/buy in cycles to artificially cause a panic and force people to sell. The big holders are still holding strong. With that level of short, unless one of the whales decide to sell, the shorters for now are still kinda f**ked (but most have deep pockets).

    Reiterating that reading r/wallstreetbets is a thing of beauty atm. Apparently Congress is also interested in halted trades by RH etc. CAL has been filed. GME after hours is up to 311 USD ! But big shorters have most likely covered their positions via retail buy halt yesterday - hedge funds and institutions were allowed to buy/sell. Also, hedge fund managers:
