Secrets of Dumbledore. 7/10
It was quite good, as good as the first fantastic beasts if not better. Guess people just gave up after the mediocre sequel.
Watched it yesterday, and found it to be pretty decent. Not as bad as the previous movies.

Absolutely loved Rocektry. Story of the man I’d never heard of before, Nambi Narayanan. Madhavan nails the acting and the writing, though a bit lacking in direction. Genuinely grateful that more of these inspiring stories of Indian super humans are coming about, like rocket boys, Mission Mangal, etc. Meagre resources, no support, and looked down upon. Yet they surpassed all expectations.
Truly inspiring in capability, character, and situation handling. An exceptional human, and a super patriot. In awe.
That test engine fire sequence was goose-fkn-bumps.
Just watch it to re-instil belief, if you ever lost it, of Indians being capable of the absolute best. And a sad reminder of how undervalued ambition is in this country. Even today.
Rocket Boys is super inaccurate historically btw.

It's not really forced. They have T&Cs for a set of phones below a certain threshold of price.
What's really shitty is that they don't make this public. Same thing as Xiaomi.
For upper end phones, those t&cs aren't present.
Errrr... it is forced. You cant complete the setup without installing TT. There is no choice. Do they have the T&Cs upfront on the box before you buy a phone ? If Xiaomi is doing it, doesn't make it right automatically, eh ?

Setup once, get adb, nuke all the galaxy apps. Sorted.
Dude, you shouldn't be forced to install TikTok in the first place. It's a f**king forced install. That's shitty.

I made a US account. Celeste is available in Argentina store for ₹194.
If I try to change account region to Argentina, it asks for confirmation - should I say yes and proceed?
Will it ask for anything when I change it back to US?
After changing to Argentina, do you recommend using Paypal to buy Celeste or CC?
You can make multiple accounts with different countries with different emails. I think 8-9 can be stored on Switch at a time. Just select one while logging in (whichever is cheaper) by checking on Dekudeals.

Where do rent it from? Isn't it very expensive
Check your local shops. in Delhi NCR, I rent from Future Forward aka Camera on Rent. Z6ii with kit lens is around 1600 a day. XT4 is similarly priced.

And the xt4 with the 27mm lens is extremely compact and easy to carry. So you can get shots in places where photography is "not allowed".
Just got the rental Z6ii and 24-120 f4. Second guessing my choice since the combo is f**kall heavy. Definitely not a street camera.

The slow AF on the fuji could be lens. Though im not so sure.
It was the 16-55 f2.8.
Hearing good things about the H2S and much improved AF.

Got access to OpenAI's Dall-e2.
Just amazing piece of tech. Can generate AI images based on keywords.
"A photo of a fisherman casting net with exploding galaxy in the background"
"An expressive oil painting of a tennis player serving the ball, in style of an explosion of nebula"

Yeah one big advantage of nikon z6 ii is more affordable lenses compared to fuji
No. FF lenses will always be costlier and heavier. Fuji is cheaper by comparison. You've to compare DX f2.8 vs FF f4 (not f4 vs f4).

As per the article it’s based on some random survey of 1099 people which just asked how many of these services were used by the people in last one year or something.
Our wise friend found it insightful.
Why did they stop at 1099 ? Why not 1100 ? Seems like an auspicious Indian thing.

Overall, I love how comfortable it is, and the exterior is kinda flat, so it's appropriate for side-sleepers (me),
This is good to hear. Not many buds for side sleepers (like me too!). Definitely not the XM3/4/MTWS.

Z6 II is over budget , any particular reason you are not liking XT-4
Oh I like it, but full frame itch. Plus Z6ii does have better low light performance.
I also realised that however much I like those dials, I prefer to manipulate SS/Aperture using command rings/dials while shooting through the EVF.Haven’t bought any - but rented the Z6ii + 24-120 from tomorrow for a week (short business travel coming up).
I’ll probably wait for Z6iii (unlikely soon) or Z8, which is rumoured to carry Z9s AF (much improved over Z6ii/Z7ii).
Also, the eye AF on Z6ii is much better than XT4. While clicking photos of kids playing, Z6ii almost had all keepers, while XT4 missed focus often.
Edit: Everything being said, still prefer the skin tones on Fuji (even though you do get that magenta shade).

So instead of creating a console which actually didnt face RRoD most of the time and making games that people want to buy and play or compete with what Sony was putting out, they instead had their own employees astroturf websites or use their evangelist program to start sh*t.
And no, console wars doesn’t encourage competition…. All it does it create bitterness amongst everyone and this thread is evidence of it.
They created competition this gen by making a great console, starting up gamepass with a super low entry cost and buyi Acti/Bethesda.
Thats how you compete and not by having stupid console wars
sh*t happens in HW development. I’m sure MS did not want RROD to happen in the first place, but they found out it’s common after that gens HW was out. And they did the next best thing they could - changed as many consoles as needed, even without warranty (many examples on IVG or GI at that point of time, in a niche market like India) if anyone experienced RROD.I’m not a HW expert, but I really doubt getting new HW in a short span of time (development, QC, regulatory approvals etc) was possible. The suits decided to not save money but keep on changing consoles if consumers had an issue.
Thats really owning up to the mistake and taking responsibility.
Tangentially compare it to Apple. Their previous gen MacBooks, worth thousands of dollars, had the most sh*t butterfly keyboard ever produced, literally dying with specks of dust. They did jackshit unless there was a class action lawsuit filed against them. They did the same with slowing iPhones with battery degradation, without letting consumers know. Again, a class action lawsuit was needed.
It’s in times of adversity that you really test leadership. Apple lacks competition, and is able to get away with much sh*t. At least with console wars (to a certain extent), you’ve ample mudslinging to compete and keep the other companies in check.
Unless you’re Nintendo. Then you’re automatically awesome and better than console wars and MS and Sony.
BTW, pray tell me would Sony have launched any sub service had it not been for Gamepass ?

Thing is Bose do not drop in price ever and even if they do not as much as Sony. So they are pretty much out of my budget.
Yup. But you’ll not get a better earpad than Bose. Extreme comfort. -

They don't have to stoke console wars to be competitive.
Oh dear - you clearly don't remember Nintendo vs Sega.

Exactly. I mean my "press X to doubt" meter is pretty high on this one. Usually, if it's a pricing error, they take it rectify it quickly, but this one has been there for a while now. The seller has trash ratings btw, so there's that too.
It's Flipkart, dude. Just avoid. They're scammers anyway.

What's the current offline price for XT-4
With 16-80 f4, around 1.6L. Cheaper with 18-55 f4 (1.5ish I think). However, suggest getting the body + 16-55 f2.8 (I don't think these come as a kit).
BTW, Z6ii with 24-70 f4 kit is around 1.85L, and with 18-120 f4 is 2.14L.
Edit: Expecting price increase from 1st Aug (after old stocks deplete).
