Yoooo those are some crispy shots. awesome!

@Bird Bird Birdhave been a bit out of loop this year, but I think you'll find most people recommending Sony when it comes to mirrorless.

Full Frame is more expensive of course, but the A7R range has sold super well and is just a very reliable option.

Not a fan tbh. I know the A7iii and iv are one of the best, but Sony cameras look like aseptic corporate halls. Sony glasses get EXPENSIVE too. They're better with videos than Fuji, which is not my aim.

I've used an XT3, and I like the film simulation modes. It also gave me quite many keepers OOTC (JPEGs).

Would have gone for XT3, but XT4 has better low light + IBIS. And I did miss IBIS on XT3, specially pairing with non stabilized lenses like 16-55 /f2.8. It's a crime that one of Fuji's best lenses misses on OIS (even their kit aka 18-55 has OIS).

@Bird Bird Bird Fuji is great if you shoot both photos and video. The film simulations are amazing. And another advantage of fuji are the small, lightweight lenses. Though I'd get sony if I shot video only.

I wouldn't look into image quality at this point though, those AI sharpening tools and median are magic and make $300 lenses look like $2000 lenses.

    Thanks !

I'll primarily shoot photos. Very rarely, if ever, video.

Which tools would you recommend for sharpening/editing ? I've been out of touch for over 4 years, and not inclined to purchase an Adobe sub for what is essentially a hobby.

I am also expecting the Fuji JPEGs to be pretty much what I'll need, with minimal editing on histogram or basic stuff like exposure etc. Really don't have the bandwidth to do detailed edits on RAW.

Buy something which can take upto 20% blended ethanol. Most current engines might get f**ked they moment it's implemented.

Or get a diesel and sell within 10 years.

I know, right? It's funny that people are hating on the movie without even watching it. The entire cast was great and lol guess Matt Damon is going to be a regular now. I like that Marvel is giving their directors a lot of freedom lately, there's stuff in this that feels completely Taika Waititi. The black and white sequence when there's colors only when Mjolnir hits something looked gorgeous on the big screen!

Yeah my screening was packed too and people were laughing/cheering throughout. Audience went nuts at Thor's badass entry and when Jane is revealed as Mighty Thor for the first time. Also, when Bale says "So this is my vow. All gods will die."  It's a fun summer blockbuster overall, loved the use of Guns N' Roses songs.

    Spoiler

The entire theatre collectively hooted the most at the end - when the reason of movie's title was disclosed. So good.

TW's imagination is VERY visible. Also the casting font is DOPE.

    Edit: TkWHuJH.png

    Explains a lot !

The problem is comparing this to the comics. Jane's Thor arc is long, really long. The movie is a condensed version of that arc + some Thor adventure sprinkled in. For those who haven't read the comics, you will never know what's missing, and for those, it is a fun movie.

I completed the Might Thor arc years ago, and still enjoyed the movie.

The spoiler tags dont work for some reason. But after all that's happened I struggle to see how they can continue for too long.

    I am guessing:

    Spoiler

    - Vault as a company is dead. Homelander will create his own cult and raise Ryan to be an evil-er version of him

    - Butcher will somehow survive vi permanent V (the side effects are due to temp V)

    - Maeve will be back at some point (maybe not in the next season)

    - Victoria is the villain for next season

critics are trashing terminal list as right wing trash. Should be good then.

Have watched 4 episodes. It's watchable. Not as bad as critic reviews.

The Homelander ending scene was so perfect.

I think next season will be last or second last with how things are going.

The only thing I felt off was Butcher giving a sh*t about that thing all of a sudden. I know he had a redemption arc but still felt out of place. Otherwise I'd say solid season.

Really wacky censorship though. Our country really sucks in that regard. I kinda get censoring the dicks but some of this sh*t is too much.

    Homelander milking a cow censored

MM says the phrase mother f**king teresa. The word f**king was muted which was honestly pretty egregious considering it wasn't offensive in any way. Even if it was Teresa is known to be a jerk.

Yeah. The censoring is bad. Gonna download the whole season for a re-watch. I saw a couple of shots on Twitter which did not make the Indian cut.

Solid season nevertheless. I don't think that series is ending anytime soon if they follow the comics.

Legit enjoyed it. Dunno why we expect it to be serious. It's a superhero movie FFS.  It's light, comical, fresh summer blockbuster.

Is it the best story ? Nah. But it's fun.

IMAX was full, the jokes landed, people were laughing, lots of hooting throughout the movie.

Really don't get the negative reviews.

  9. And done with Thor.

WTF is wrong with the reviews ? It's such a fun ride, with so many things to like.

Korg's narration is top notch, and then goats are..well..GOATS ! Enjoyed Crowe's take on Zeus. Post credit scenes are worth it, and Christian Bale as Gorr is menacing.

Had a grin at the end, and was laughing throughout the movie. Perfect summer blockbuster. Tad better than MoM. Natalie Portman rocks ! Music is :band:
