    Nope. You'll have root though. Whenever you need CWM, there's a temp install for it. It's all there in Dr. Ketan's Installation/Root Guide.

     

    NEVER, do a factory reset from any of the official/custom stock ICS ROMs. There's a bug in the kernel which can potentially brick your device. Just keep that in mind and your device is safe.

    To name a few:

    • Advertise in-store in every store. Not just national outlets like Croma and Landmark. They even do custom branding per store's requirement.
    • Advertise on TV as well with ads that focus on product, not just celebs.
    • Corporate tournaments.
    • Pre-orders (MS does the same, but Sony's a lot more active because of the retailer push)
    • Launch events (Ra.One, Killzone 3 to name a few).
    • Contests on sites like IVG/Tech2 (not many now though).

    Its more or less similar for Sony and MS, but as my experience goes, if I walk into a smaller game store here, I don't see any special promotions, neither from Sony or from MS, probably Sony has more stuff of shelf when comes to SW, largely due to the fact that they have more 1st party titles + plus more SKUs: PSP, PS2 and PSV. On big stores both have equal presence.

    But then MS compensates a bit with their digital promotions and customer support which is absent on Sony completely.

    MS has been organizing launches for all their major first party titles, a decent event would cost 10lacs, if the sales realization isn't more than 10-15k copies, doubt they could do much on marketing.

     

    But point is its not hugely profitable market for either of them, both of them have sufficient presence to stay afloat, just waiting for the similar burst which happen for smartphones and mobiles in general.

    What's sad is that they don't give a crap. Look at the pricing for their own PC games, it's utter BS. Oh and it's just fine to be beaten by PC sales. After all, the install base is the largest (technically). Like I said in another thread. US isn't the rest of the world. While the 360 is owning in the US and UK everywhere else is a different scenario. Asia and EU are PS strongholds when we're talking consoles. India could have been MS' if they focused instead of sh*ting things up.

    what sony does in india that ms doesn't?

    lets leave out funding to dev the local content aside.

    mp is good, but the level with cubicles was totally anal, couldnt even move around properly. i was like 1-18 in that, bus stand level helped in saving some dignity with 8-15.

    really? after crawling the way to QFs on basis of RR?

     

    Rcb made to finals even when they didnt have gayle. kkr couldnt even make to semis when they had gayle. rcb is a very good side, they lost a few close ones, just like others. gayle was just a brick in the wall, a strong one.
