Nixon’s Watergate was reported by journalist who used a source identified as “Deep throat”, whose identity was revealed years after Nixon’s death. only if naysayers and trolls dismissed the journalists calling it a fake news... I don’t consider journalism a clean profession, all of them have a political leaning, and their agenda guides them in suppressing or exaggerating news. But dismissing something you find outlandish as fake news is not how you should treat them.
