Yeah, ghost kitchens. There is one next to my house. Though it has a very small sitting area, which is now usually occupied by deliverymen waiting for parcels. Nothing filthy but nothing great either. Have a few more around the main road. My house is very near to Wipro HQ, and this there are lot of working bachelors in my area, so they hit these places for takeouts or roadside chow. But they aren’t the places I would like to ever order from. If I want to eat budget and hygienic, Bangalore has a lot of Darshinis. I prefer them anyday over these fake Punjabi joints.

Yeah, I kind of see all these Punjabi Nukkad and Bhukkad names on the app, I can’t find ever on the map. They just have kitchens and most of them are filthy af. I kinda learned how to spot them, to avoid them.

I am a fan of Black Coffee. But frankly, cannot get the taste of what my Local Tapri wala does with his Filter Coffee, he gets from Coorg. I had beans bought from Bali, even the Catpoochino ones. That coffee was so good.

One can do, their own way. Amount of data which Facebook receives is far more than Google/Apple do. One makes a profile, adds his/her friends/family workplace/school and FB knows everything about them. The grouping of data is done a way Google/Apple could do never. They throw these “people you may know” thing at you, but thing is that you KNOW them all. Take example of splitwise, innocent expense tracker for friends. They give you voucher and cash backs for sharing receipts, ppl gladly take it. And they get kind of data, no one else would, that is a spending pattern of group of friends. Facebook has worked with a company funded by Zuckerberg’s friend Peter Thiel, named Palantir. Palantir works with CIA. So I believe FB is much ahead or at least on equal footing with Google/Apple. And these guys work closer to each other than we know.

Good thread but the guy is lying about apps/devices are not listening to conversation. They do. i have had numerous examples of having a living room convo and then seeing a related ad after a couple hrs, there was no search involved. Just before we actually purchased our vacuum cleaner, we were speaking about it and were duly shown ads way even before we made a google search. once Me & wife spoke about a product on purpose in front of our Google hone, and were shown an ad on mobiles.

I don't know why they had to close down shops. Keep them open and allow teleshopping and home deliveries, just like being done for eateries. . if you want to go only to a specific center: Best way is search by pincode and add center’s name as preference. See below “comma separated center preference” I haven’t tried it but it would work
