    ^What Bias? U still dont get it? What he likes is his preference and we're no one to question him. But what he said holds true for all of us and that is what our thinking should be towards any phone. I dont care about any moled joled screen. Fact is, I want something that can read well in all lighting situations.

     

    That's his point. To stop these irrelevant troll wars on these tech terms and rather talk about end result for the consumer

     

     

    I don't say his philosophy isn't right, but come on, look at the specific specs he's pointing out :threatenlumber:

     

    As for the sunlight thing, the OLED screens are far better for viewing than traditional LCDs in all situations except direct sunlight. Even then a hand to cover it is all you need. Frankly I need a hand to cover my N79 even when I'm standing at a bus stop in the sun.

    I dont see anywhere if he has showed any bias towards the iphone. It was a spec-to-spec comparison and he hasn't lied anywhere :-|

     

    Just because some random internet troll commented that does not mean he has summarized the article. And we all know how these blogs esp gizmodo and engadget just attract complete trolls

     

    I know that the particular comment was just trolling, i posted it for the fun of it.

     

    But seriously, you're saying the author of the article was telling us to ignore specs while maintaining a neutral position?? He doesn't "Pay attention to megahertz, or what the screen is made of", he "cares that it reads well under the sun" all that and still you say he has no bias toward the iphone?

    This is also the reason why I place nexus over droid (even though droid has much better GPU and CPU is comparable). Nexus has so much going for it in terms of possibilities and community support.

    Community support is what allowed me to be content with my old HTC wizard for more than 5 years and they didn't even have the source code.

     

    Shantz that guy wrote that para in the article in support of the iPhone, not the Nexus.

     

    Here's one comment from the page loosely paraphrasing the post author's words:

    "Do I care about the Nexus One? No, not really. I don't give a damn about the Nexus. I care about the iPhone. I don't like the Nexus One. I enjoy the iPhone. I don't pay attention to the Nexus One. I just want an iPhone. In other words: Who cares about the Nexus One. Get an iPhone."

    lol, Open office is pretty good now and for home use I don't think anything more is needed. So selling it would be tough here, you are likely to get a quick deal from ebay though.

     

    I put it up as an ebay auction for just 8.6k and i've got nothing but dust till now :doh: Half my 10-day auction time is over even!

    he he thanks. I won't be buying 2k7 coz there are lot of open source options available. And I've genuine office on my office laptop anyway. For some minimal stuff to do at home, open office or star office suffices ;)

     

    Oh well, there goes my 15k! :doh:

     

    I grew up with MS Office, and after one crappy OpenOffice Beta that didn't do spellchecks properly, I stuck to Office 2k7.

    It was on this thread itself, Pg 91. Read the next 4-5 pages as well. Then look at the Nexus One's specs and decide. Who knows, maybe you can wait for the HTC Evo.

    But it looks kinda drab :ack: and also its touch sensitivity is not that great as apple's...... who knows it might die a pre-mature death too :lock:

     

    i need ppl's advise since its difficult to decide for me...

     

    If touch sensitivity is the thing you're after, then you can't beat the iPhone, still I don't think the Nexus One loses out much on touch. Android won't die a premature death even if the Nexus doesn't sell. You'll still have a great OS and plenty of apps. Besides think of all that you sacrifice if you go for an iPhone.

    btw i have a serious question to ask: I am looking for a phone and have ended upon 2 alternatives: iPhone 3gs and Nexus One :ack:

     

    Which one should i drop my money for? Please advise.....

     

    Right now? Nexus one.... but wait a bit for a 4G iphone maybe?

     

    Android will catch up with apps, and the specs on the Nexus one are better any day than the iPhone

    I'm not obliged to stop typing dabba, especially when this appears to be an excellent avenue to keep myself awake while I'm studying for a test. I'm not saying that you claimed he called you an idiot either. I'm only saying the way you tell people "less said the better" (directed at shekdown) and "i have nothing to say to u mate" is proof enough of your supposed "Ability to take things lightly"

     

    @gaurav: wrong choice of words mate...not everyone is a tamilian here who can understand what u were trying to imply

    For 31k, they can't even include multitouch.. that's bad Sony... baaad.. If I'd already bought the phone I'd be stuck with it, but if not, then I'd think twice before I bought such an expensive phone without a common feature such as this on an expensive handset.

    i like the way a lot of people claim that everyone else has a right to an opinion n then merrily scoffs at anyone who does not agree with them.

    If you've read about it enough it's more a scientific phenomenon than superstition.

     

    2. Sleepy hollow is a whole different genre... A one-off horror-mystery tale based on a single book. Sherlock Holmes as you very well know is based on a series of books all revolving around his SOLVING the till-then mysterious case, giving plausible scientific explanations for each and every incident leading to the conclusion.

     

    3. As for your comment on taking a joke and laughing at yourself:

    That quote from you must have come out of thin air right?? Or someone ninja edited your post?? hmmm :P The phrase "Vadikattina muttaal" in tamil is used to comic effect (literally translated into english becomes "distilled idiot"). Sadly you see it as an insult. Tsk Tsk...
