    buddy its not logic its bitter truth and it doesnt matter if u and any other belive it or not but I am sure and what I written I saw that on daily baiss, mentality of north indians are like that only.

    Anyone living below Punjab is South so essientially all are Madrasi.

     

    I know what the term means all too well. That's why I amended my post almost immediately to include "/South". Started off when it was the Madras Presidency.

     

     

    Its sad but its true that every black guy we see either he is south indian or bihari, last night went for a hair cut with a friend and the guy who attended him was a bit black and the first thing my freind said r u from south , so for a north indian its obvious that only south indians and biharis are black but it is sad and racist on our part

Retarded logic :lol: There are things that can be said about people who run over other people lying on the pavements with their nice cars, in recent times most of them have been from the North. Also most of the rapes reported in the country have been in the North. Let's just say then that all North Indians are murderers with cars and rapists in their spare time. How about that?

    Cooked Pongal. Vadai was readymade. Made the sambhar too.

    Damn you, reminding me about pongal and vadai at this early hour on monday.

    But yeah pongal and Sambhar vadai, the perfect breakfast!

     

     

    Yeah I actually made pongal, some sundal and then had vadai with sambar just yesterday. Of course it was more Kerala-style Uzhunnuvada (pretty much the same as vadai in TN). Will be getting my mixer for my freshly-made chutney adventures :P but until then the Indian store has pretty decent tomato, pudina and regular coconut chutney available.

    Congrats on the wheels and the piano , Gaurav.

     

    My old man still has a working Welmar Upright Model C , bought in 47'ish , with even the original copy of the bill intact :D He's much into accordions , but the manual sound is just priceless imo.

     

     

    Thank you very much. That's amazing! A good piano or any other musical instrument, well maintained, will produce great sound even decades later :) A 1940+ Welmar Upright in good condition is easily worth more than $4000. When I can afford a house (that will be a good number of years down the line) I want to get a proper grand too.

    I have applied to gatech for bachelors though, I am seriously considering it and there is a good probability that I might even get in..

     

    My parents can afford to send me there, is it worth it? I have heard its very hard :fear:

     

     

    Hard? Haha, hard is understatement. More like you'll-lose-your-mind crazy. They'll also make you take more classes per semester than any other among the top 5 engineering places in the US. But if you get through till the end without losing it but with a good GPA, then you'll be an awesome engineer. Depending on the specialty though, I'd not do it for Bachelors because getting a job here and settling down permanently (if that's your cup of tea) as a Bachelors grad from a different country isn't very easy.

    Dude, I got what you meant, just saying. Anyway, I think that most Indian parents set too much stock in what their kids drive and own and what not. There're so many things you can achieve though that can make your parents proud :good:

     

    The reason I decided to do it now rather than wait a while is because you have to live your life while you're still single, unmarried and... no offense meant dear married IVG bros.... free :fear: If you put it off too long then you kinda lose interest in the middle of other major decisions life throws at you.

     

    Ultimate goal though is an M3... maybe 10-15 years later... but I will have that car.

    24 yesterday, since you ask I just completed my Masters at Georgia Tech, Atlanta.

     

    Haha thanks, they were but I got it for myself, they didn't pay for any part of it. If it were up to them I'd have gotten myself an Accord or Camry.

    South Indian meals.... yeah I do miss 'em. I miss any Indian meals for that matter though I just hit an Indian restaurant or cook if I miss them that much. While I was in Boston, I had so much Indian food the first month I was there that I got sick of it and stopped eating Indian stuff for the next several months.

     

    But no, I'm not a fan of filter kaapi :P And before you start off on Thayir saadham stereotype too, I'm a totally non-vegetarian malayali that eats anything and everything within reason.

     

     

     

    @Sackboy Just 'tell' her that's it. Unless you wanna two-time or cheat on one with the other or whatever. If you know how to bang a girl, you know how to talk to her too. It's not like you signed a contract or something right? Good luck :good:

    Aaah Delhi... no wonder. This is not how I found school to be :P Priorities were completely different especially around the boards. To each his own I guess.

     

    So DA, what happened in the end? Did you get her shifted to a different part of the office? As far as my case goes, if I had an annoying colleague who's new and I totally hated him/her I would still not do something that aggravated things between us. In the end he/she is still a colleague and you might need his/her help or atleast cooperation someday.
