  1. So, I decided to go with a Chic White Galaxy Nexus. Planning on picking it up this weekend. Any suggestions on a case for it? I'm getting white, so I obviously want to flaunt the color. Basically, I'm looking for something that's transparent. Either that or I could get the Zagg Body Shield. Suggestions anyone? Is there a S3/Note like leather flip cover for the Nexus?

Look for Diztronic's TPU cases or Amzer... cheap, they get the job done (atleast they protect from dents and scratches) and I'm sure they have a few transparent ones.

  2. Just get L4D2 alone. Mow that the cold stream campaign is available, people are gonna flock over it. I believe even the L4D maps are going to be available in L4D2.

get l4d2 only. all the levels from the first game are ported in to the second.

    Done. Thank you :arigato:

  3. Wow !!!

Aren't you the one who got robbed at knife point few days back ?? :O

Edit - Yes .. U are the one

Shows how sh*thole Bangalore has become ..

Enjoy the ill-effects of migration which Mumbai faced a decade ago

Kinda uncalled for.... anyone can rob you whether they're from this state or another.

  4. I never thought the day will come when i say this... My phone was stolen from my car.... and I was in it getting distracted by a bastard who was saying i ran over his foot!

Damnit, am i that big an idiot!? :(

Like stolen through an open window while you were looking this way? :O

  5. If don't this weather thingy.. And why they are so popular.. Just look outside the window and you will know what's weather is like..

Sent from my GT-I9003 using Tapatalk 2

Actually I only like weather apps that give me a forecast. And do remember not everyone is lucky enough to get an office where you have a window. Though I guess most of us can actually get up and walk to the window (which I like doing, but I'm not sure my supervisor's thrilled :P )

  6. Two young boys walk into a pharmacy one day,

pick out a box of Tampax and proceed to the checkout

counter. The man at the counter asks the older boy,

    "Son, how old are you?"

    "Eight," the boy replies.

The man continues, "Do you know what these are

    used for?

"Not exactly," the boy says. "But they aren't for me.

    They're for him.

    He's my brother. He's four.

We saw on TV that if you use these you would be

able to swim and ride a bike.

Right now he can't do either one."

  7. Just got back from an IMAX show of TDKR... epic doesn't cover it. Simply brilliant.

Heck, Caine almost made me cry. Gotta watch it again in an even bigger IMAX theater if I get the chance.

The two previews shown that I liked were the superman trailer and an exclusive Skyfall sneak peek (it was pretty much as long as a full trailer).

  8. Gotta resist the temptation to go into the spoiler thread for another half a day. Tomorrow morning it's TDKR in IMAX (gotta wake up in time  ). And perhaps again on a weekday I'll go to this awesome theater for a second viewing if enough people from the office decide to go. - http://www.jordans.com/Imax.aspx

Apart from that massive 8-story screen, their chairs are the highlight cos they're high-end furniture manufacturers themselves  Would be a perfect place to rewatch TDKR.

  9. Okay, how are Deus Ex HR and SCC for someone who hasn't played any previous games of either franchises?

I haven't played the previous ones but I quite liked Deus Ex HR.

  10. Intentional repost for new page:

    http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-07-18/apple-must-publish-notice-samsung-didn-t-copy-ipad-judge-says.html

A U.K. judge ordered Apple Inc. (AAPL) to publish a notice on its website and in British newspapers alerting people to a ruling that Samsung Electronics Co. didn’t copy designs for the iPad.

The notice should outline the July 9 London court decision that Samsung’s Galaxy tablets don’t infringe Apple’s registered designs, Judge Colin Birss said. It should be posted on Apple’s U.K. website for six months and published in several newspapers and magazines to correct the damaging impression the South Korea-based company was copying Apple’s product, Birss said.

The order means Apple will have to publish “an advertisement” for Samsung, and is prejudicial to the company, Richard Hacon, a lawyer representing Cupertino, California-based Apple, told the court. “No company likes to refer to a rival on its website.”

Judge Birss said in his July 6 ruling that Samsung’s tablets were unlikely to be confused with the iPad because they are “not as cool.”

Apple is fighting patent lawsuits around the globe against competitors including Google Inc., HTC Corp. (2498) and Samsung as it competes for dominance of the smartphone and tablet computer markets. The firms have accused each other of copying designs and technology in their mobile devices. Legal battles about the similarity of Samsung and Apple tablets are being fought in Germany, the Netherlands and the U.S.

Judge Birss didn’t grant Samsung’s bid for an injunction blocking Apple from making public statements that the Galaxy infringed its design rights.

“They are entitled to their opinion that the judgment is not correct,” he said.

Apple spokesman Alan Hely didn’t immediately respond to a phone call and e-mail requesting comment. Samsung’s outside public relations firm Red Consultancy declined to immediately comment.

The case is Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited & Anr v. Apple Inc., High Court of Justice, Chancery Division, HC11C03050.

Oh my, why subject yourself to bat-nipples :fear:

Bane was so laughably terrible in that one.

I finished my bat-revision the last weekend, now I've gotta tough it out till Saturday somehow (and I have to somehow wake up in time on Saturday)

  13. And you don't think I already know that it's an alpha build? Also, the build with the issues are PREVIEW builds -- they are supposed to have those glitches. PREVIEW builds are pre-alpha. The ones they are talking about are different. Of course it will take time for them to fix things. Again, I never even said anything about the builds being perfect. Plus, I don't think I even argued about CM -- just that we'll get them in time and that I'm patient.

    1. Of course it's subjective since I'm talking about my preference. I'm not planning to go back to a smaller screen.

    2. There's a difference b/w capacitive pens and the ones from Wacom. Plus, I definitely do not want to carry a pen along with a 10mm nib.

    5. I won't even argue with that since it's a well known issue and I was comparing it to the note which if tweaked properly, easily lasts 2 days.

My point being, I don't get what you're talking about since I was only arguing your point of the Nexus being the end-all. It isn't for everyone. If it were, it would be the best selling Android device -- which it isn't. People need more that what Google is offering them.

Also, let's stop the argument right here. All I wanted to say is, I can wait a couple of months for the latest Android OS since the rest of the year, I'm the happiest guy with the phone I have. I wouldn't wanna compromise that by getting a Nexus. :)

Agreed, but as for it not being that popular there's also the fact that the Nexus is also rather poorly promoted. Ah well, different strokes for different folks. I need my up-to-date Android OS fix and I wouldn't compromise that by going after hardware that isn't of much use to me when I don't want a larger screen.

In other news, I'm kinda scared it's all gonna go to hell with that new patent that Apple just got. f**ked up patent system

  14.

    1. Small screen for my taste.

    2. No stylus support.

    5. Poor battery life.

The quote you refer to about the S3 is from yesterday and it's from here right? -

. He says "It is currently undergoing some internal tests to make sure everything is fine.... we will release an experimental build when we feel like it's ready.... " and, if you have bothered to check it, the download thread for the ROM on the forum has tons of people with calling issues, BT problems, unstable camera comments, even sound issues. That isn't exactly a fully working build :P It's an alpha. I agree with hardware being better, but that doesn't always improve your experience with the device, with exceptions like the lack of an SD card.

While I agree that the rest is upto each person's preference and yeah they could have put in a better camera (I don't have a problem with this one for pictures in daylight though), I disagree with these.

    1. Subjective, but I don't think 4.65 inches is 'small' by any measure. Especially when half the world runs on sub 4 inch iPhones.

    2. No Stylus slot as such but they do work with the screen, even with a screen protector on, like my phone. I really don't like the way screen sizes are going up. I hope it stays below 5 inches with the next Nexus (not that I'll say no if I win it again :P as customary)

    5. Not by a long shot. Unless you're gonna overclock and overvolt it or something. I was able to get through a day on the standard battery and the extended battery doesn't add all that much, perhaps 2-3 hours. The terrible battery life is on the Verizon model with LTE, but OFDM is power intensive and that's kinduva given. Most LTE devices don't fare too well.

If your taste in phones is like your taste in games I am very afraid.

  15. I noticed for the first time today that rooting might not be allowed for a lot of people who use their phones for work email. For a fact this guy in Amazon I know can't root his G-Nex because his company's security policy doesn't allow for the same. Still he has JB and the latest OTA updates which more than make up for it.

I'm guessing I won't be able to root too once I get a fulltime job :(
