Yea man, I got scared, seeing that temp & I didn't even boot into Windows yet. Anyways, I was just curious as to how much of temp is considered "safe" for the Core i7?
-
Ok, the stock cpu coolers from Intel is just WORTHLESS. I was getting temps of 60 & climbing with no overclocking.
I could not find the Noctua
. So I settled for a Thermalright Venomous X with two 120mm fans in push-pull config & now I'm getting temps around 50 -55 & with the cpu overclocked at 4.00 Ghz on full load (with LinX & Prime95).The core voltage is 1.20, will fiddle with vcore & will try to bring it down to 1.1+ range.

^How is that bad news?

kitney k pada total ?
Bought it from Nehru Place ?..... SMC

Approx 1.10, actually I have relocated to B'lore now, so got it from SP Road.
Thanks a lot guys.
@Pushy
I only have an old BenQ 24" monitor, so it will go upto 1080p.

@CC
Thanks
The Deluxe was about : 14.5K
-
lol thanks guys. The sad part is I got the PC, but I do not have a SINGLE game for the PC yet. I tired looking for Crysis 2, but all they had was Crysis Warhead

So will go to Landmark this weekend & buy me some games.

Got these :

Core i72600K
Asus P8P67 Deluxe
Corsair Vengence 4 GB DDR3 X 2
Corsair AX 1200 PSU
Cooler Master HAF-X
Zotac GTX 590 3 GB
-
Bought the HAF-X & Corsair AX1200 PSU :

Sorry for the crappy pic though.
-
Yea I called them, they were all sold out.
-
Yup, very hard to come across in Bangalore.
-
I am getting Noctua NH-D14 on Monday.
-
The US retailer is creating problems with the shipping, so I cancelled my order & I will go with air cooling for the moment.
So today bought the HAF-X & AX 1200 PSU.
-
Sadly, India liquid cooling parts are not available, I am getting the Koolance kit from US.
However, Lynx India has some stock of liquid cooling kits, but they are not from well known brands & I have heard that Lynx India is a terrible online retailer.
-
I'm gonna watercool it man, for that 800D is awesome. Also a drivebay fan does improve the air intake problem with the obsidian. It's just that I simply hate the look of the HAF-X, I am more into sleek looking cabinets.
I do get your point on the mobo front, but I have seen minor improvements in performance in many reviews over the P67 chipset.
-
Whooops..sorry for that typo. I will look into the 69 series though. I apologize for not framing my question correctly, which was :
Is it a good idea?
-
I am in the process of building a new gaming rig, have a question on the gfx card front :
Here's the specs :
BenQ 24" Display
Core i7 2700K
Asus z68 Pro Mobo
8 GB DDR 3 RAM
Corsair HX 850 PSU
Corsair Obsidian 800D Cabinet
Now I am wondering if 2 X GTX 570 SLI will be better than a GTX 590 since it's cheaper to get the 570's also will the PSU be able to provide the juice for the cards, since I am planning to connect multiple HDDs.

Dude, I live in Delhi only, so he gave a cash on delivery.
-
awesome combo
enjoy

Hey thanks a lot Parth, I got the the wheel from you're Ebay guy only

-

Signature Edition FINALLY arrived.

-
WOW...awesome setup man. The infinity speakers look amazing.

But do you think keeping the 360 on top of the center speaker is a good idea?
-
dude somu you need some new tables, all those expensive equipment on those shitty tables don't do justice to your setup.
Yea man, it was how my OLD setup used to look like.
-
You need a much high ampere fuse. I had this problem with my Z5500 too. Currently I use a 10 A fuse, works fine.
-
I had no choice man, my earlier setup was like this :

Too much wire clutter, so had to move the TV & consoles to the drawing room. So I wall mounted the TV & the speakers. Didn't notice any difference.
Also In this pic my PC config :
BenQ V2440W 24" Monitor
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
6 GB Corsair XMS2 RAM
1.6 TB HDD (actually 3 hard disks for a total space of 1.6 TB)
MSI GeForce 8800 GT Gfx card
MSI P35 Neo 2 Mobo
Asus D2X Xonar PCI XPress Sound Card
Cooler Master Real Power 450 Watts SMPS
-
mm.. so it is really bass heavy? how have you wired the rear speakers?
@ joy.. what sort of weird blue gunk is there on the threy?

Yes dude, the sub is too powerful (especially) if u keep it in a small room.
My Z5500 is very old, bought it way back in 2005, that time they did not have sockets for speaker channels. So I just extended the wires with a run of a mill twisted pair cable.

What you bought this week
