....i5 entry level @179$(confirmed)
preliminary benchmarks stated that i5 entrylevel is better than i7 920 ....
since it use socket LGA1156 something(not sure) .. mobos are also kept at least cost....
but Id say ....better go for a mid-range X4 940 or quad Q9400 which will serve for atleast 5-6+ yrs

The above PC can play almost any game exception being crysis on all settings maxed out at a resolution of 720p (1360*768) released till date.
The above system will serve you good for atleast 2 more years with minor adjustments in settings on this same resolution.
You can swap 9800GT card with a 512mb 4850 also.
rlly?? ... I thought GTA 4 just cant be played on dual core..... isn't it??

hmm PCI card upgradation is not a good idea you will just end up spending money and the performance will just be minimal, i will advice to wait up. If you really wanna play some games get a PS2 instead

heya experts... I want to upgrade my HCL beanstalk while my i7 is building ..so tht I can atleast play call of duty 2 and all... ( I can play COD 1 thnx to integrated grphx)..
prob is ... there is no PCI-E slot .... and only one PCI slot left...
I'm thinking abt this one .. 3k at most ...
wht are ur thoughts.... any other one ..(cheaper one)

1. does CPU really make that difference in gaming??
I mean C2D E8400 is 9k and i7 920 is 15k+ ... but E8400 is 3.0ghz and i7 920 is 2.66Ghz ( u can get it to 4.2 by OC but tht's irrelevant).. y so?
I mean by the spec.. E8400 must be faster isn't it so?
2. can a proc like C2D E8400 run GTA 4 and all.... coz I hear people calling it a CPU oriented game...??
