  1. Is Watchmen hardbound as well?

I never got what was so great about The killing joke. It was a very predictable, very dull story, nothing clever about it. And aside from that one flashback of the Joker there is nothing outstanding about any of the characters. The artwork was barely average at best.

really? The Killing Joke is the one story which defines Batman's character and his relationship with Joker better than any other novel. Batman and Gordon will go by the book in the face of extreme anarchy because that's what they stand for. And Batman will never kill Joker, and Joker doesn't trust the world to be sane, and he wants to bring anarchy. I thought getting such a message across in such a short story arc was brilliant. Also, I liked the artwork with all the vibrant colours - it suits the mood of the novel.

  2. Saw watchmen, nearly 3 hours long and the movie seems to lose direction in between. But I liked the ending, it was pretty unusual. One of the those movies that hop around in moral gray area. The character of roshack was brilliant.

it's rorschach - as in the blot used by shrinks to say that ink stains are worth 500 rs an hour

  3. i wonder who this fakeiplplayer is....im pretty sure he is just that - fake...coz im sure none of the indian fringe players in KKR or RCB (is he confirmed to be from KKR?) can write english to save their lives, let alone the kind of english seen on that blog

    peace

Akash Chopra writes well. But I believe it's someone from the media who's actually writing the blog after getting insider info. The rumour is it's Joy Bhattacharya who's not very happy with the management style.

  4. Who care's about cricket? The real question is, will the real fakeiplplayer please stand up?

    :roflroll:

real question is who scored with Sandy? :roflroll:

Also, if Akash Chopra can be sent be back after one match, isn't it time Bhooka Naan and his Phoren Babas were sent packing?

  5. Yeah the ending was totally WTF? I'm pretty sure that if I thought about the plot it wouldn't make any sense... but I didn't want to. The final fight scene(s) were worth the money spent on the tickets. Like I said earlier, it was like watching a live action Ninja Gaiden.

quite possibly set up for a sequel. but ong bak 2 is supposed to be some sort of prequel to ong bak. :naughty:

  6. can someone please describe what ong bak 2 means? just finished it and haven't got a clue what happened in the end. also the first movie was much better - this one just doesn't have the watchability factor. but you have to credit the fighting skills of the guy - simply superb. worthy successor to the likes of Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. the last fight sequence is brilliant.

  7. Watching Race on TV again - bastids cut the scene between Bips and Saif completely. Reminded me of when I saw the movie in the theatre - couple was sitting next to me with their 6 yr old daughter. Daughter screams out loudly when the rest of the crowd is salivating - 'Papa yeh kya ho raha hai?' and the father actually put his hand over the girl's eyes. :bounce:

  8. there's no competition - it's going to KKR. The holy trinity of dkwad's - Coachie, Skipper, and Dil** - are trying their best. Why insist on playing Agarkar, Why let the pressure build up in the first 10 overs in run chases, and give the super over to an average spinner?
