loved the last two episodes - this is LOST - they take it slow. Also, this is supposed to be second last season - so I think they are tying up a lot of stories

Lost is back to the awesomeness. Loved the episode focused on Ben - probably the best character written for TV in a long time.

NWN 2 had a better story, more complex gameplay possibilities, everything - but it still does not suck you in like NWN1. The x-factor was missing in NWN2. Similarly with Kotor2. That's my crib with Obsidian - they can take a perfect formula and streamline it, but they won't add their own special ingredient to it.
Fallout 1 is still considered brilliant because of the whole true choice gameplay. BG2 can not be considered an expansion. Some sequels are just great compared to the original and BG2 happens to be one. It is one of the best examples of what a pen-and-paper experience can be when computers are used. Fallout 3 is a great standalone RPG in the class of Mass Effect and Witcher, but should not contain the Fallout tag. It was a shooter. A person could finish Fallout without firing a single shot - Fallout 3 demands genocide.
And who wants to bet that Chris Avellone will sell out to Bethesda and make this one more FO3 than FO1?

Well I think its gonna be great. They might have blown it a bit with the story side of things in KotoR 2 due to time constraints but they did a really good job with that game. NWN 2 is also very good, so far anyway. Obsidian are more talented than people give them credit for.
I just hope they can do something about the visuals. The texture work was really low res and looked quite bad up close.

Obsidian can do good follow ups. Both Kotor 2 and NWN 2 were glorified expansion packs. The jaw dropping awesomeness of the originals were missing. Also, Obsidian has a tendency to go overboard with the writing and majorly screw it up. Again, the evidence is NWN2 and Kotor2. But they can perfect gameplay like no one can, and to their credit improved on both the games visually. My fear is they will make Fallout 3 1.5, and not necessarily anything remotely close to Fallout 1 and 2.
On a side note - developing a complete Vegas means these guys will get all expense trips to Vegas to map the city

Currently on book 10 of the Wheel of time series.. GReat fantasy... ANy one else read the series?
yes - but does require patience. he should've wrapped up by book 8. it just became stretched after some time. the first couple of books are absolutely brilliant.

angels and demons is a completely lame book. the little charm that Da Vinci Code has was completely lost in the movie - even with a fantastic cast and a book which was written to be a script. i have doubts on this movie as well. does anyone remember the highly improbable ending of the book?
