Well this might come as a shock to some, but one of my friends who has a 256kbps airtel connection has been getting a constant 1.3Mbps connection for the past 3 months (i kid you not!). I've been to his place for 2 weeks and not once did the speed drop.
I on the other hand finally got my 1Mbps connection from TATA and it's been working flawlessly so far

Lucky bugger. I know sometimes Airtel does that. I used to get 2 Mbps on and off a couple of months back on my 512. Now I dont. I am saaaaaaaad.
Ankit - if you want to just surf stuff (no visiting youtube to watch lengthy movies) you'll be ok with an airtel 256. But if you want to do a lot of MP and videos I would suggest at least 512, if not 1Mbps.

Watching "Hero" on World Movies now. I can never tire of watching the movie. The finest Chinese cast put together, beautiful cinematography, the imagery, the colours, the music, and of course the breathtaking figh scenes.
For the heathen, I am referring to the 2002 martial arts movie, and not the Subhash Ghai one.

For Seagate its fine, but a WD Mybook wud cost you much less, infact a WD 500GB mybook wud cost you around 5-5.5k
but that's with an external power source, right?
ayush - with external power source prices are cheap. you can get 500 gig for less than 5k. But if you're looking for a portable one i.e. draws power from usb 2.0 then prepare to shell out some.

Is there a Graphic Novel for TDK also?
NO
-
TDK Better than the Batman Stories?! O Yeah

It's a tough fight actually. I would say read these and put a flame suit on

Dark Knight Returns - simply the best IMO. This is not canon and is set away from the normal storyline. But has the best fight Batman ever fought, and kicked someone's a*s who deserved it.
Batman Year One - inspired Batman Begins Movie
Long Halloween / Dark Victory - these two are separate novels but should be read together for absolute enjoyment
Killing Joke - best Joker story
Arkham Asylum - and people wonder why Joker is the most dangerous of the lot
Haunted Knight
-
Agreed. But the awesomeness of TDK is that it is actually better than most of the Batman stories out there - easily. That's what surprised me - I have read most of the Batman stories / comics out there, and this one holds up easily to the best of the best. I would say only Dark Knight Returns is far superior. Heath Ledger's Joker is straight out of the Arkham Asylum graphic novel - with the added mass scale mayhem.

The video is hilarious

Villains - the award should go to Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the Lamb - the guy reeks pure evil through and through.

^

Yeah I knew that was coming - but am not getting on MP till I actually play a nice amount of SP to get my clicks set in.

Watchmen Movie Trailer. Watch It. Now! :dance2:
Also - go read the book if you haven't. You have one year and no excuses.
-
Finally - bought Gears of War. Yes - I actually existed who had never played Gears. Now I am no longer a member of that exclusive club.

Came back from seeing TDK. Let me say that whatever expectations you may have, this movie will blow them away.
Story - better than some of the Batman canon novels out there.
Action / Stunts - brilliant. There were places where the jaw dropped and whistles were galore in the theatre.
Joker madness / crime - spectacular. Better than Jack. Jack had a bit of Ceasar Romero in him. Heath is completely out of Arkham Asylum / Killing Joke and worse. He is far far Joker than the Joker you can imagine. The depravity comes out and so does the meticulous planning.
Bale - Unfortunately the show is stolen from him by Heath, but he is good. He does play a great Batman.
Rest of the movie - yeah fantastic. But we all know the above is what you are going to see, and the rest is the garnish which will help you savour the aftertaste.

It's Sohail, not Salmaan.
Anyways why are people watching Dark Knight reviews (this is for you MT)?
No right to crib afterwards.

^^ This is the MUSIC discussion thread, not MOVIES.

Yeah, Viva la Vida is great, I still prefer Parachutes like atleast 5x over it.
x&y - their best IMO.
-
Saw Kung Fu Pandey - ooops - Panda last night. Definitely must watch. Haven't laughed this much in ages. The kung fu is simply brilliant - imagine the best most awesomest moves you can - and they have been depicted in furry / feathery brilliance. The script is really really funny and has a brilliant cast. Definitely a must watch - gets a solid 4 bamboo shoots out of 5.
PS. PVR in all its brilliance. The movie is supposed to start at 7.10 pm. We sit at 7.05 pm and the movie starts but there is still some weird song from Jaane Tu playing. The actual audio starts after a few minutes so the first part of the movie is lost. The theatre audience is shouting, the usher is waving at the projector guy but to no avail. Lot of people go up and complain. 15 minutes have gone by and everyone is resigned to watching, and the screen switches off! They actually started the movie over again after 20 mins!

anyone seen Children of heaven? no doubt this is the best children movie i have seen since a long time.
yes - a fantastic movie. it's brilliant in its simplicity, the portrayal of the issues which are on top of a child's mind and how kids relate to the rest of the world.
-
hey this may be really OT, but i did'nt feel like dragging the AC thread from its crypt.
how is assasin's creed, is it worth a buy?
YES
Free running is fun, gorgeous visuals, the cities look alive. Combat is stylish. Voice acting leaves a bit to be desired.

^^Tyler had posted a review a few pages back.

Picked up Viva la Vida finally. Pure brilliance as usual. Also picked up Amy Winehouse - she has a voice to die for. Reminds me of Aretha Franklin. Unfortunately - seems she will die before her voice does.
-
compared to the two that came after - yes. IMO the first one is still better.
-
long shot, but perhaps she was dalit christian?
in Varanasi? Right :eyebrow2:

Saw "" Jane Tu Ya Jane Na ""
its a cool movie i loved it

peace
So did I so did I

It definitely has its moments. It's an amalgamation of a lot of cliched characteristics.
Best moment is when Naseeruddin Shah is laughing in the pic because Jai has just gone medieval on that other guy
