    I would say Galaxy S over Nexus S. Nexus S is hard to find online, and in shops it's at 21k. Galaxy S is on flipkart at 20k.

     

    Galaxy S Plus - I dunno. It's exactly same as SGS1 but with the 1.5ghz proccy.

     

    There's a new Omnia launched by Samsung for 19k. This should be Mango compatible.

    Go for a winged spear - good reach. Get a bow and upgrade upgrade upgrade.

     

    Suggest you go to 4-1 and get the Crescent Falchion + 1 - this regenerates mana and lasted me through the game after upgrade. For some good ranged magic go and kill 3-1 boss and use her soul.

    If you finished DS the easy way (Royal + magics), prepare to die. Again and again. If you want to stand a chance at this game, play through Demon's Souls again with a pure melee champ. Preferably a 2 handed one.

    This is my crib. Even with Royal + magic, DS is not easy. Most veterans actually started with Royal since soul level is 1 and you can actually level up properly. Demons Souls never forced a player to play a 'certain' way. Seems Dark Souls is doing so.

    No pause is just fine. Yes it is an irritant but this is primarily an online game. I loved the bonfire part and being able to see other players congregate. All monsters other than bosses being reset is insane but that's also fine - good for grinding and getting some souls.

     

    What I don't like is that magic has been nerfed a bit - requiring that players go toe-to-toe against some bosses.

     

    Contra and most od the old school stuff was much more difficult.

    Why the Galaxy S and not the S2?

    Diapers are a costly proposition :D

     

    Second - thought a lot about it and although it's absolutely top notch right now it will probably be overtaken in a few months. I would rather have a phone which is already high-middle range and I can look at changing it in 12-18 months. I've never felt the need to be absolutely bleeding edge.

     

    What are the good apps? I've been out of touch for a year now.

     

    Madmage gave me some - moboplayer, news 360, gmote

     

    What's the good sms app doing the rounds now? And anything good apart from angry birds and cut the rope?

    The death works exactly like Diablo II. You die, you start at the beginning. Go back to reclaim your souls. There are shortcuts which can be enabled at certain points in levels to circumvent enemies.

     

    I am absolutely ok with the game not allowing any pause - this is more of an online game and when there are a ton of white shadows running around the game looks so amazing. You actually feel you're in a battle against the world.
