@blackie.... ya, that's very unfair. but, i suppose it's the sellers wish abt what rules he wants to put
i thought the auction rules are formalized ones...i.e. same for any auction held in GI..
but for transparency's sake, auctions should have eveyrthing there on the thread to see for everybody! else fthere should be a rule that at least on the day which the auction ends, the last two hours, the person who started it should be online updating things real-time. Else having an auction is useless! just make a post in TP...

no PM's allowed for auctions...members who want to bid have to post in the thread! i.e. 50 posts rule here also...
look at the auction started by UE...how on earth am i supposed to know if i am outbid? and with no last minute updates/posts how do i know that the offer which has been accepted has not come after the auction was over?
make it all transparent - post in the auction thread only, no PM's!

hey guys i was thinking this - when a new member joins a company he is given a whole boatload of paper/digital rules, regulations and policies to go through...
now, GI is growing everyday by leaps and bounds, dont know how many new members per week but at least two or three am sure...
the thing is most of these new guys dont know about the rules and regulations here like th 50 posts count, or they dont look at a month old thread before bumping or make stupid comments and quite often invariably end up spamming...
so i was thinking, is there any way of sending an auto-generated Pm to the inbox once a person has registered? Some sites have that where the auto-mail/PM welcomes the member to the community, a welcome message from the mods/site admins (which i think is sorely missing here from the rest of us), points out the threads/links of interest to a newcomer, spells out the key rules and regulations and manners to be maintained while at the site and maybe xplains a few other thing like the Pricebuster/IVG Offers...maybe also a quick intro of the mods and the authors...
i feel kinda sad to see these kids caught spamming and given a rap on the knuckles/warning from the mods when they may have been unintentionally doing it...some of these are just babes in the woods, taking tiny footsteps!
i think it would be nice to give them a welcome msg and forward warning...am sure nobody would mind that! after all i like this place quite a lot, i have actually become addicted to it...and i would like the others to feel the same way too and have a good time...
and i think such a thing would help us grow our presence among the Indian gaming community and be taken more seriously!
so folks what do you say? even if technical hurdles are there, am sure we can work out something which addresses this...
P.S. - maybe there could be some kind of flood control for posts also? similar to the shoutbox...

and kitty - i have joined a yoga class where the guruji comes and gives exercise...we are supposed to practice at home and then show him that during the class...you need to get the form right else he keeps on asking you to do it again and again...kind of a homework assignment...which stinks!

yes - but does require patience. he should've wrapped up by book 8. it just became stretched after some time. the first couple of books are absolutely brilliant.
hmmm i dont agree fully...the mage fighting scenes are still awesome...and i love the way Mat's story being developed...and to some extent Perrin's also...but i was too impatent...i read all the portions with Mat first in both 10 and 11...
and the Night of Knives is good but cant wait to read the next book by him which is out...that is suppposed to far more better and ties in with the Malazan universe!

yeah...she is a surprise...in that show she starts off with a typical wonky brit accent and then when she starts off, it was WOW...she doesnt sound 47 at all! but i hated the stupid audience clapping so hard that i couldnt hear her sing properly!
here's a link to her rendition of "Cry me a river", on youtube only, but a HQ MP3 one...quite good! and no clapping or anything, saw a recommendation somewhere...
hmmm...her voice reminds me of my sweet old honey, the lady who took my virginity in jazz...Ella Fitzgerald!!!!! Dear Ella has a voice like a smoky-sweet 12 year old Chivas laced with ice...which slides down your throat and ears with silky softness and lights a fire in your belly...
mannn...i so want to listen to jazz again...ever since on upgrading my iPod Touch all my music got formatted, i havent bothered to upload again...maybe i should do it again...

dude...this is one game a player must have brand new! if you can afford it...it has lot of replayable value...so definietly a VFM buy there...and as Deathstryke said just forget the price and enjoy playing!
