Seems very interesting. Can't wait for this show. When is it starting ?
It's starting January, 2010:
-
The old theme score from the original still has the same menace:

Just came back from watching the Star Trek movie, and I was impressed at how much actor Chris Pine looks like a young William Shatner. Out of all the new cast-members, he particularly had the most resemblance to the original cast-member. John Cho from Harold & Kumar played Sulu.
Overall, it was good and had a lot of action. But you'll have to be prepared to accept the new story universe it opens up.

Here's the teaser trailer for it that was released a year ago:

Can't be 18th or 19th century if they're flying around in ultra-modern helicopter/osprey type personal flying craft. Looks pretty 21st century (yeah, India's still going to have plenty of slums for much of this century)

Apparently, the Gears of War movie is on track:
http://www.gamercenteronline.net/2009/05/0...ncredibly-good/
Hopefully it won't suffer a fate similar to the Halo movie.
I don't understand - these game properties have huge followings, and have already proven their ability to generate huge amounts of revenue. But instead studio execs want remakes of Dukes of Hazzard, extra remakes of BSG, or Predator, etc?

Myst is out for the iPhone:

Can anyone recommend to me what's the best iPhone game out there?

Is there a thread for the new sequel "Army of Two: The 40th Day"?
I just wanted to find out if anyone has any information on what the storyline is about
-
well i think this is a indian forum
....you in big apple????Actually, I'm in Toronto, and my internet provider is Rogers.
I only get a crappy 10Mbps from them for $50/month.
I don't mind it though, since my employer pays for it anyway.
What are the prevailing rates in India?
-
Anybody heard about the new 101Mbps service being offered by Cablevision in the NY area, for only $99/month, with no cap?
http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/news/20...-no-caps-99.ars
That's really unprecedented bandwidth for a decent price.
-
Heh, coolest line from that movie:
"You don't understand: I'm not locked up in here with you - you're locked up in here with me!"
-
pretty decent clip .. hope it turns out as good as the trailer .
Well, like I said, there are a few in the works:
And here's the Little Pandavas:

Dragonball style?
"Arjun!! He's over NINE THOUSAAAAND!!"

Yes, it's another new animated Ramayana movie, by Maya Entertainment:
Looks pretty good, and has a hip sound. At this rate, you'll have to add a separate bookshelf just for all the Ramayana movies. Everybody has their digital Valmik ready to push out a story.
They'll have to add a special Ramayana category at the Oscars.

Hey, is there any thread for arcade games? (ie. which haven't been ported to console yet)
Check out this new game, Elevator Action:

Pretty cool shooter. I don't know which thread/forum to post it in, though.

Gee, I thought I just said that

Here's video footage from the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, featuring the lovely Megan Fox, and various action scenes:

Errr....What do you mean by that? The film is titled ONG BAK 2 & it's not the marketing people who are pushing this title. People used to confuse Tom Yum Goong for ONG BAK 2 but it wasn't ONG BAK 2. This movie is ONG BAK 2 & even though it doesn't share any co-relation to it's predecessor, doesn't deny the fact that it's title still stays the same.
Ah, my mistake - I thought he was talking about Tom Yum Goong, which is what I saw a couple of years back.
I didn't realize there was an official Ong Bak 2.
Damn, I better go searching for it then.
EDIT: Okay, just saw the trailer on youtube, and it doesn't look as good to me as the first one.
He's doing the elephant thing again, which reminds me of Tom Yum Goong. I liked the character from the original, and would have preferred if they'd done another story with him. This looks like another medieval country fighting thing, which bores me.
-
guys see ong bak 2!!! tony jaa's back
That wasn't really Ong Baak 2, even though it had the same 2 guys, and was made in a similar spirit.
It's just the marketing people who called it Ong Baak 2.
Did you see District 13? (original French title "Banlieue 13")
Now that had some great action, by some true action artists. Akshay seems to have tried to latch onto that, but of course he doesn't measure up.
I'm really waiting for the sequel to that. It'll be hard to top the first one, of course.
-
Anybody see the latest episode of the Doctaahh? (Dr Who - who else?)
It was called 'Planet of Death' - not a bad episode overall. Reminded me of that Vin Diesel movie, Pitch Black.

Hi,
It's me, sanman, joining the forum for the first time. Anyone from animestan here?
I'm looking for a good forum to discuss gaming with other Indians, and I hope this will be a good place to do it.

Here's a link to a youtube playlist for the original mini-series

You can watch the whole thing again, here. Just keep the autoplay option in the sidebar switched on.
