  1. It took Axis 5 weeks to figure out and let me know they cancelled my card based on someone else’s delinquency. That someone else is an entirely unrelated human. They also cancelled the card without any communication. I found my card was cancelled after I got in touch with customer service to let them know that my card was showing CVV error on trying to use it.
At the same time, I kept getting statements (which showed nil dues, in fact pending cash back) and calls for “unpaid dues”
I don’t foresee I’ll use any of their services anytime soon. This level of systemic incompetence is not for me, no matter the rewards.

  2. Knives Out -ish remixed adaptation with Indian cast & crew, and you think it’ll be good, I exclaimed to the wife. She ignored my quip and put Murder Mubarak on Netflix anyway. And I’m glad she did, because this is a tight, well made, fun, and funny movie with an incredible ensemble cast, with spot on performances. It’s not short, but time will fly by.
A good story, a properly unfolding onion-like layered mystery, satisfying end and a remake that’s equal parts inspiration and adaptation. You can see where it comes from yet it is enough of its own thing and it works.

Good artists copy, great artists steal.

Well done Netflix, Homi Adajania, Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan et al.

    PS: epic party bro.

Rock did fumble a lot in his promo though. Couldn't pronounce promo word correctly, and even said Mama Reigns instead of Mama Rhodes once. Very unlike Rock.

He has fumbled quite a bit, quite a few times. You watch his earlier promos, even at WM30, and see how quick, and forceful he was. Has definitely missed a few steps. He's been repeating too many things too often. Age and all that T surely have had some effect. I mean, dude looks jacker than JACKED at goddamn 51.

    It's a tourist visa.

Just mentions "Period of Stay(s): 90 days"

    Validity is 5yrs.

Have been getting conflicting information from various sources, will just ask the immigration officer when I travel.

LOL even he might give you conflicting info. Just ask on the 91st day of stay in Japan and let us know what happens :D

By the language (bolded part), it means a total of 90 days.

  5. Roman is so bad on the mic. His body language, expressions, stupid little grin, ugh. He cannot act alpha. One eyebrow raise from him at the right moment, and the crowd would’ve gone fkn wild.

The tag match ends with the bloodline winning, Seth turns on Cody, and right then, as the rock is trying to stipulate the next nights main event, the glass shatters, out comes Austin, he’s been made the special guest referee for that match. Roman loses, then turns on the rock on how he being on the board still couldn’t keep Austin from the match, and blames him for losing the championship. They fued for WM 41.
Meanwhile, Seth and Cody feud, and Cody unifies the belts again.

    Boom. There’s your storyline.

  6. This is the most marking out we’ve seen since the attitude era. WWE is 🔥 right now. That Dallas crowd was lit.
Amazing light & sound fx at The Rock’s entrance. Would’ve been good to end it with some violence this time.

    Hype.

Edit: thanks @Pushyfor updating here regularly.
Edit 2: why isn’t Paul Heyman talking anymore?

  7. We'd been waiting to screen Sam Bahadur for a while now, as we missed it in theatres because of Animal. What a sad little thing this.. thing is. It makes no sense, has no feeling, no progression, no character development, and has inanely useless supporting characters. The score is abysmal, rest of the music isn't much better. With such rich content and Talvaar's director Meghna Gulzar at the helm, I expected a real engrosser. It is so poorly made that it feels more like a home movie or a series of tik-toks spliced together, rather than a cinematic thing.

Vicky Kaushal's performance is completely wasted.

On the plus side, Zee5 on Apple TV uses the tvOS platform UI which was a pleasant surprise. However it defaulted to 2.1 sound so Zee5 does Zee5. Ha!

    0.5/5; ugh.

I have not subscribed to Fancode yet, the old F1 TV pro is yet to expire so undecided which one to get for renewal.

When is it due for renewal? Let's go pro. I'd like the driver cam option.

    F1 TV pro or Fancode?
Not sure if Fancode will add ads at some point or not, there are no replays/extra camera views on Fancode btw.

Can go for either. If F1 pro is meaningfully better that works. I haven't tried either yet.

  10. The run of unhinged badass-ery continues.

If you mix Tarnatino's cinematic sensibility with Denis Villeneuve's filmic presentation, Fury's germanic war vibe, and all the good bits of Zack Snyder, you get Sisu. I've wanted to watch this movie since I caught the trailer while screening Evil Dead Rise. The first knife-through a Nazi skull and I knew I wanted the blu-ray.

Sisu is a ball-gag on all the fruit going around. You know the premise. A no-nonsense, retired, immortal Finnish viking who can induce anxiety with just his name, Aatami representing what war-time men used to be, has now taken to gold digging in his spare time. When he's moving about his way he encounters the Nazis. The Nazis, true to their core philosophy of f**king around and finding out, f**k around with Aatarami, and find out.

It is beautifully shot, with exceptionally filmic camera-work and a colour palette that oozes charisma.

It's like that scene in The Dark Knight when the Joker gives that talk about aggressive expansion, and you see the terror on the face of that black guy who's infallible boss was just cut down in from of him like a commoner, Sisu is that vibe but for all of its runtime of 90 or so minutes. Why so serious?

It hits incredible, is visceral, a worthy superhero story of men and women who don't speak much and who've personalised brutality.

Favourite line: How many mines did you bury here? All of them

Favourite kill: string on a missile

    Favourite weapon: will

Most gruesome death: horse on a mine

     9/10

PS: shoutout to @KunjanPSD for getting the blu-ray.

PPS: I think Sisu broke the blu-ray drive in the PS5. By the end it started making this loud whirring, grinding (zzzzzazzziinnnnnggg) noise. Anyone have any pointers?

PPPS: We also watched a bit of Animal right before and after Sisu. Oh my God. That movie hits and hits hard. I really wish they'd released the blu-ray that day.

  11. There’s a reason why the stare down segment wasn’t broadcast live.

They are absolutely listening, albeit with half-inserted ear plugs. You guys need to shout louder.

Dwayne isn’t fit to perform in the ring anymore.

  12. Is it 60fps on Switch? I could swear it felt better to play on the PS5, though that could just be the controller too. It was a compelling demo, enough to make me want to play the game, but not enough to make me want to pay full price.
